Acker is a liar?

Caroline Wilson called your Acker a liar tonight on Footy Classified.

Acher said last week on the show that Scarlett from Geelong was saying " here's another flag boys" etc when you guys played them in round 16.

Wilson called Acker a liar for saying it.

I hope Acker gives her plenty of grief for her words.

She is a shocker and should get out of journalism!

Sounded like she was trying to play down what scarlett apparently said. I doubt aker would make it up.

It wouldnt surprise me if he did say it, seems to have a mouth on him when on the field, plus a smart arse attitude. comes off as an arrogent individual.

She accused Acker of lying yet said in her own words;

Nothing the football media says is important.

But, I can see why she would say what she said. At the end of the day Aker is always in the media offering comment, whereas Matthew Scarlett isn't, and Caro always thinking about her next scoop would be more likely to back the horse that hardly ever fronts the media (just IMO of course), just in case she tries to knock on his door in the future.

Its similiar to the Scarlett/Harvey incident where it is hard to know what was actually said. There are million of diferent versions on it, so its hard to know who to believe.

It wouldn't surprise me if Scarlett said that(would be normal onfield type barbs) but the problem aker has now, is cry wolf syndrome. Because of the Braun fiasco, everytime aker says something now, it is going to be questioned. He should have thought of that though before he wrote the article about Braun and should always think before he makes allegations without substance.

Who cares what Scarlett said on the ground.. If opponents think our players come across arrogant, so be it. Just another mental edge we have over them.

If every player went on camera and squealed about what opponents said to them Scarlett's supposed comments would be tame in comparison.

Aker is far from a loser, maybe a bit to honest for his own good and he should probably think a bit more before he speaks. But if he did that the same people bagging him would still bag him for not being honest and rolling out cliches. Maybe you should take your comments back to your own board or the Brisbane board because around here Akers fairly well liked and loved and most wont agree with you.

When did Aker lie, grenwolf2684? Pretty easy to call someone a liar but pretty hard to substantiate it. You come on to the Doggies board and make such a claim and then flee!

Aker is about the only player in the AFL who simply tells the truth, tells it how it is, doesn't play the bullsh*t cliche game that everyone else does and gets lambasted for it. Sure he might get people offside but if you are telling the truth then so be it, that's the other person's problem.
