I disagree with a few here but I haven't seen mentioned the man who destroyed Star Wars: Hayden Christensen

Most of the others mentioned have had some shockers I agree but I might still watch a few here and there

You know he is from New Zealand don't you?

He was born in New Zealand, but moved here when he was 4. His acting career started in Australia so we produced him, he calls himself Australian so thats good enough for me.

Mel Gibson was born in america... im sure you would consider him Australian

He moved back to NZ when he was 14 and didn't return to Australia until he was 21.
Nice selective fact checking!

We gave him his break, he studied at NIDA, He calls himself Australian yet your convinced he is a New Zealander....

Virtually any of those flogsters who started on Saturday Night Live.

Excluding Bill Murray.
John Belushi? Dan Aykroid? Chevy Chase? Steve Martin? I even think Eddie Murphy got his start on SNL.

Back in the late 70s, early 80s, plenty of good fuuny c-nuts came out of SNL. It's only recently that most of them are unfunny flogs.

He isnt a great actor but I wouldnt say he alone destroyed Star Wars, I think old George L had plenty to do with it himself.

Yeah I should have said Bill Murray era.

Orlando Bloom - seriously overrated and was atrocious in Troy

Hayden Christensen - why he narrated Jumper i'll never know horrible horrible voice and thats a big problem when you're meant to be a pro actor.

I'm surprised at the amount of responses for Tom Hanks. I reckon he's great.

And complete opposite of the thread, the one actor I would actively go out of my way to watch ALL of his movies is Edward Norton. He's brilliant. Fantastic is movies such as American History X, Fight Club, Primal Fear, The Score etc.

*edit* Sorry about the Ed Norton lovefest, didn't notice there was already a thread for stuff like that.

Kristin Scott Thomas... didn't she win an Academy Award for that performance?

That's the one and I do believe she won an Academy Award - don't care, she annoys the wotsits out of me.
Actually, it was Juliette Binoche who won the Academy award for best supporting Actress in The English Patient. A fantastic actress, as any fan of Three Colours: Blue would tell you...

I don't get a lot of the Nick Cage hate. His performance depends a lot on what he is given. Adaptation, Face/Off, Leaving Las Vegas, Vampire's Kiss are all top movies where he gives good, sometimes great performances and he is helped by having a decent story and script in these films. If the story/script is dull or boring, this is often reflected on his peformance...

One of my mates who hates him just reckons he has a real hit-me face...
