Is a good fit for Sydney or most probably Fremantle who have backed themselves into a hole needing 8-10 players out of a physically soft draft they will have to find at least 4 mature bodied experienced 19-22 year olds capable of playing next year.

Freo have spoken too him and depending on how the club trades and drafts, and no one else picks him up before hand, he'll be picked up in the pre-season draft.

Cockie is a mate of mine from school days, he runs all day, very good work ethic but isnt extremely quick (in case everyones seemingly assuming it cos hes black). Hes mature enough for AFL footy, ive been told Subi told him to stop doing weights lol. He wasnt selected last year i guess cos he hadnt been thrown into senior WAFL too much. Im hoping Freo dont get him, dont wanna have to abandon him as a mate haha. I could see bombers getting him but i'd like to see him rookie listed by eagles just so i got a mate who plays for the eagles :)
 
Adam Cockie would definitely be a better pick up than Daniel Rich. I agree that Rich is over-rated, he is good, no question there, but the 18s comp showed that he is easily tagged out of the game.

proberly coz he is 17 playing against men????????? Rich for the Eagles :D. if Rich played colts he would dominate

Rich has carried an injury all year. Cockie is a utility but he aint got anything super special about his game which is why he hasnt been selected in the state sides or drafted last year. He isnt super fast nor really fit. He is a good contested football winner and attacks the footy well, he is smart and reads the play, whilst his skills arnt bad they arn't anything WOW factor. He will be about freo's pick 37 and WCE pick 36 he should go then. However they could wait one more round for him as other clubs arnt interested. His state screening results were extremely disappointing but was he told to muck around and not shine = i think so. Freo and WCE wouldve both told him to do poorly so other clubs dont become interested.

Hope he gets drafted caught the train with him a few times.

I think there's a place for him in AFL footy, but not at WC. Don't believe he'd get a game with players such JMAC, Selwood, Butler looking to take that role.

Freo might find a spot for him, especially with one of their 15,000 draft selections this year.
 
I thought he didn't get selected in 2007 WA U18 squad because he had a finger injury? Got selected at state level in 2008 for the WA vs QLD game which is impressive for a 19 year old.

Ran a 2.97s over 20m and 8.15s agility time, not trying, not too shabby at all. I've found his aerobic fitness very good despite his SS beep test.

Agree with most the other stuff, but his defensive efforts also standout as being ridiculously good. Doesn't really seem that versatile, I could only see him playing midfield at AFL level.
 
He was injured which made him miss the carnival. So i guess they didnt get to analyse him against other of his age and overlooked him.
 
There is a bit of Mainwaring about him.
Picks up possessions against the flow.
One would think that with his age and mature body he would be a cert with fremantle .
The dockers can't afford to have a list with 10-12 seventeen * eighten year olds.

Don't think he has Mainy's flair, whoever came up with the young Daniel Chick comparison I agree with. He's a good chance for you guys as well at 36.
