Goo & Ossie might retire at the end of the year. We generally make 6-10 changes to our list every year.

If we had to part ways with a Suckling/Ellis type in order to land Cooney, I'd be all for it.

Goo has stated that he wants to play on next year.

If Suckling comes back still believing the media hype about how good his left foot is, then he could be worth trading. On the other hand, if he comes back and proves that the media hype was worthy then i'd keep him.

His brownlow would have upped it a bit.
 
Been good this year after it looked like his knees were shit. However I would be weary of topping up or we could end up like the Dogs and Saints. That said, should be a very good short term player if we can handle his body

Probably right. But winning most weeks would be a nice change and worth something to him as well.
 
Fantastic player..... I think we would have to lose an older player to enable us not to squeeze out the next generation.

I would like to see Sam Mitchell go somewhere for mega bucks for a two year deal. Has been one of the best servants of the club and probably underpaid the whole time. He deserves a big payday.

Knee issue and 3 kids to provide for? Little birdie tells me he won't be taking any discounts for a chance at a flag. Gut feel is he leaves the dogs, but not to chase a premiership. Common sense that he's probably more valuable (from a $ perspective) to a team in the premiership window than a rebuilding list like ours. Quietly playing excellent footy by the way. Really accelerating like he did before the injury. Be a great pick up for you guys (or a collingwood, north Melbourne type team) if it happened.

He won't be a hawk then. At least not if we retain buddy. Just can't offer a guy like that top dollars with all the players we have resigned this year.
