I stand by the cubs decision with Stengle, he must've been told to pull his head in and then proceeded to do what he liked. You can have all the talent in the world but if you don't have the desire to do whatever you have to (i.e keays) it doesn't matter. I have played with a few players who were absolute freaks but chose the gear instead..

most of our players indulge in the gear in the offseason, they just don't get caught. Like every other club in the league, it's rife.

Most of our players also don't get blind drunk and crash their cars into parked cars. He obviously has dumb mates or is stupid enough to get caught holding the bag. Zero sympathy for him. Imagine the young players families interstate seeing us leave him at the club... then we are back to everyone wants to leave due to family pressure. I understand it is rife (cause of skinfolds) but too many instances that show he is just an idiot.

From the AFL yesterday,
".........but fellow skipper Luke Parker, long-kicking defender Jordan Dawson, restricted free agent George Hewett and top-five pick Dylan Stephens are among those remaining unsigned with a salary cap which was tight at the end of last year."

Obviously not Parker, but what about the other three? Hewett and Stephens are SA boys, are they not?

I'm keeping a close eye on Dylan Stephens. Considering how much the Swans have played their youngsters in the past 3 years he's gotting a pretty savage yoyo treatment so far.

Whether thats granted or not i'm not sure. But I did really like him in his draft year.

Stephens is Vic, hails from Red Cliffs . Schooled here for a couple of years.

sorry, who got drunk and crashed into parked cars? Wasn't that a current bulldog player and also a current swans player? Stengle was pulled over because his rego was expired, he didn't have any other offences or reason to be pulled over. Are you all there?

Yep, got my lines crossed. Are you all there definitely required though hero.

Anyway he was driving at 2.5 times the limit and didn't feel drunk in an unregistered car. Should've been a wake up call and wasn't

Yep.. The list spots are gonna be tight for us this year..

Gotta cast off the deadwood and those that arent performing..

Theres a shortage, according to the AFL media, of tall developed “plug and play” rucks at tge moment.. could help us get rid of EH or Frampton.

List spots shouldn't be tight for us in reality. Our list is fairly poor.

In terms of BF and EH, it's fine in theory but we will need a similar type of player to replace them with so while I don't mind moving them on we don't want to pay overs ourselves for their replacement. Maximum only one could be replaced with a draft pick most likely ndown the draft order, the other would need to be a mature aged player.

Hayes from WWT Eagles would have been worth a look as a direct replacement for one

We really only need one of them as a backup, 2 is overkill. However the place we make by moving one or both on we need to add extra ruck depth as we have shown that is not up to scratch already. Most clubs are running 3 rucks including a developing ruck and that is the setup we should be looking to also. I'm not against having 2 ruck forwards however not if one is himmelberg. Frampton has at least been performing as SANFL level

Why is Ben Davis still on the list? Genuine question.

We either think he has something or not.
5 years for 2 games is not a good return for the effort.

We aren't contending, why is he on the list but not getting games?
Because he is currently contracted.
He's one of the nicest guys I've ever met, but he will be delisted at end of the year.

I actually think he has plenty of talent. Has a real x favor about him but struggles with consistency. He’s only now coming back from injury this season so hasn’t played much.

Plus, the club has some fault here due to classic crows behavior. We played him for two games on seperate occasions at the tin shed that is Geelong and also the showdown. How can a young player gain any confidence from that?

I’m not saying he’s going to be a superstar but you can’t expect to get anything from a young player by treating him like that.

Clearly someone in the club thinks he's talented right?

Why not give him a block of 5 games and make the call then.

Its been 5 years at this point and we still don't know.

Either we wasted 2-3 years of a list spot (and his time) or we think he has the talents to make it.

Lost cause.. Shouldve been delisted two years ago..

Shows flashes of brilliance but they are few and far between.

I think Davis is great for morale, seems to be a character. Given what we have been through it makes sense to keep a bloke like this around. Probably at the end of the line now though

They don't always listen to the recruiter though eg Rendell on Ed Curnow

Hopefully they do here. Gollant seemed to be tracking well prior to injury
Don't think they had a choice about Curnow leaving
