There are a lot of midlist players being discussed at Adelaide for trade.

They include Shaun McKernan, Mackay, Vince, Henderson, Jaensch, Wright, Lyons and others.

Many were inconsistent in 2013, but had fantastic 2012's and are young.

Thoughts?

I think Henderson will be traded back to Vic for the go-home factor and we will use that draft pick to get Polec.

Vince will stay, McKernan might get traded to a Vic club for a third-rounder, doubt we'll get much more for him. Could trade 2 third round picks for a second rounder to get us higher in the draft.

Would you take Varcoe for Henderson?? Straight swap.

Has Varcoe got his body right? I would definitely do that deal if Varcoe was fully healthy.

What's the story with Henderson?

Apparently he wanted to go home for family reasons and now his girlfriend has gone back to Victoria and wants him to follow.

I think it'd be up for discussion.
So what happened, seemed to be a bit of a fav of Craig's. Sando not so keen? He's got some speed which is something we sorely lack

Shaun McKernan - failed as a key forward , would be taken on as a project player at another club hence worth a project pick , pick 40-60.

Mackay,- cant stay on park. not great but looks good enough that someone will bite. pick 30-45

Vince,- one of the most over-rated players going around. 28 yrs old. body fails him. looks lazy doesnt work hard kick looks pretty. not a player any club should really aim to bring into their club so will play out career with crows.

Henderson,- started off as a great big spud but has developed. a vic club will pay a 2nd rounder i reckon. 25-35

Jaensch, Wright, Lyons - perfect examples of players who have no trade value. crows will keep unless the players seek opportunity elsewhere then they will be pick 88 type trades.

Terrific endeavour. Can't fault his effort, but his disposal and poise let him down consistently. Should be played as a defender to cover his weaknesses, but instead Sando has persisted with him as a forward.

Yep, so what are you offering for them?

Petrenko is an example of a player that if he's getting a game then your club isn't a contender.

Funny. Wright would be first picked out of that lot for me.

Someone would offer up an early second rounder for Vince (quite stupidly).

Feel sorry for Mackay. Perhaps a move to Vic will let him fulfil his potential.

Shaun Mckernan - Not by any means a good or consistent player but at the right club with the right people around him he could have an alright career... But in saying that nobody will take a huge risk on him pick 40-50.

David Mackay - Good skills, great outside run but really just can't find the ball enough nor damage the opposition enough. Pick 35-50

Ricky Henderson - Became a decent player off the back flank late in the season maybe if Heath Shaw left Collingwood he could play that role there. Pick 25-40

Bernie Vince - Like a few have said he's what 28 now? But in saying that he had a pretty consistent a decent enough year for other clubs to at least have a look at him. Slow but has good skills somehow finds the pill quite well and maybe a team near the top could use an extra midfielder simply for more depth. Pick 40-50

Jared Petrenko - Personally I like him and I don't like many of the aboriginal players but he's patientate, quick and sometimes a goal sneak. I'd rather him stay on and learn things from Betts but if he were to go I'd want something decent in return. If picks were the case 25-35 maybe a little unlikely but I don't see what's wrong with him compared to the haters.

Get to the club Betts and Polec. I'm not sure what ruckman around the league haven't signed on as of yet but we need a better back up ruck than Jenkins. But give him one more year in his apprenticeship before making a move on hopefully someone better.

unless henderson is requesting a trade he shouldn't even be on the table. a good sized defender who generates run off half back and is a good kick. developed that bravery that people wanted out of him too.

would be looking at getting something decent for mackay and mckernan. if a good offer fell in our laps for vince i'd seriously look at it too. the rest wouldn't attract much interest in terms of value.

hendo has a bad knee, has not finished in the top 10 of the bnf yeh? his worth is well into the 30's

mckernan hasn't got a good run of games in a team crying out for good young talls. yikes!!!
lyons is the only one i would rate, an trade for.....

Is betts a lock for you blokes? Honestly don't see the appeal

Basically!! You can't see the point? We badly need a small forward who kicks goals, is quick, great crumber and has good forward pressure. Petrenko doesn't have that, Porplyzia isn't quick enough nor is he much of a crumber. Wright would be our next best but Betts is a step or 50 above.
