Couple of lucky players, notably Gibbs. Frampton gets a gig on slightly better than Berg produced, I'd rather have gone with Crocker and a smaller set up.

I can tolerate the Gibbs selection if it's the last chance saloon for him. Basically tell him he's got one more chance to prove he's got what it takes to be an AFL player, otherwise he's done and only getting a game if injury demands it.Couple of lucky players, notably Gibbs. Agree, I would have preferred Hamill over Gibbs, but the club were always going to persist with Gibbs early.I like the team, if we swapped out Gibbs for Hamill I'd be ecstatic
I actually think Tex on the wing may work, if he can have Mackays 17 possesions but he's the one kicking it inside 50 to our forwards we will have alot more scoring oppurtunity. Obviously he isnt going to play the entire game there, so I dont think defensively its going to be as bad as people think it'll be.
Drugs Are Bad Mackay? - Covid may be his kryptonite...And no Mackay !!!!
I would give him a % turnover limit for Gibbs to keep his place...I can tolerate the Gibbs selection if it's the last chance saloon for him. Tex and Lynch rotate hf/wing as the linkAgree, I would have preferred Hamill over Gibbs, but the club were always going to persist with Gibbs early.
Will be interesting to see how we handle Tex, Fog, Billy & Lynch. Can't have all 4 in our forward line at once or it will be a disaster!
Murphy averages a goal a game across his 2 season AFL career which is superior to Crocker's numbers across his 4 season AFL career.
McAdam will be preferred to both when he gets up to AFL standard fitness which you would hope is sooner than later because he offers more than both on all counts.
Really think in our circumstances we should be trying to fast track McAdam & show some patience.Murphy averages a goal a game across his 2 season AFL career which is superior to Crocker's numbers across his 4 season AFL career.

Our forward 50 pressure numbers were some of the worst in the league last year, it's a huge issue and until we get some better players in the side Murphy will continue to get a game.
He's the Petrenko of the side ATM and until we find the next Cameron he's going to get games.
I'm not even sure how they can justify having all 4 in the team, let alone the same forward line. There really is no case for selecting Billy - none at all. They definitely should have gone with a smaller player instead - McAdam or Crocker being the two most likely replacements.Agree, I would have preferred Hamill over Gibbs, but the club were always going to persist with Gibbs early.

Personally I would only have played Frampton when the opposition have 2 quality ruckmen.I'm not even sure how they can justify having all 4 in the team, let alone the same forward line. Where did I say they were to do with him? Our forward pressure sucked, Nicks knows it does, which is why he wanted a smaller forward line, even in the Gold Coat game without the extra tall Murphy still lead the forwards in pressure acts, which is why he's getting a game. Those numbers had nothing to do with Murphy. It’s the slow structure that they built the system around combined with god awful decision making and delivery from our mids.

He wanted one, he hasn't gone with one because we can't have a small forward line and a 2nd ruck with Fog in the side.Nicks hasn’t gone with a smaller forward line. Where are you getting that?
edit - and my post had nothing to do with Murphy’s selection. Couldn’t even read that in.
We haven’t played yetHonestly our forward structure, we haven't learnt from our mistakes last year

A game without the crowd isn’t a game IMO.
What a load of shyte!
There is no reason the season start can’t be delayed for 6 weeks and still get in 17 games without going beyond the planned GF day. This season should be completely scrapped rather than played in empty stadiums.
It will not be remembered as an actual, real premiership season anyway.

Doedee to come back in Kelly's spot too.Hamill is coming for Kelly's position and I'm all for it. I'm done with his diabolical disposal.

There's a few on borrowed time it's looking like.Doedee to come back in Kelly's spot too.
