A push in the back against us ignored at the end.

Brave effort against the Crows and their umpires.

Our AFLW team get the same treatment from the umpires as our AFL team, we get robbed by them regardless of gender.

At least they are consistent.

The girls should still be able to get something out of that loss. We were able to stay in touch through some dogged play. We do need to be better with our ball use, and we have more than a few that struggle to read the flight. But we are tough as nails.

We played two rucks to allow Wardlaw to be 100% a forward. Didnt work. Neither ruck had any impact, Adelaide just triple teamed Wardlaw and we had no other avenue to goal. Ella Friend has had a very disappointing year.

Anderson starting to come good but is injury prone. Ty Smith heading towards gun status, Vesely and Lambert gave their all always. Not enough from too many others though

Season defining game on Tuesday now. Drop that and we are in big strife. Dont want to be having to beat Brisbane in the last round to make finals

Liked Maddie Boyd, nice hands and good size but with Wardlaw Boyd and Ella Friend we are too big, slow and not skilful enough.

Naomi Anderson played her best game and whilst Veseley was beaten on the night her handball in the last, set up the tieing goal.

We also need a Dal like distributor for the defense switch, we are just not fluid enough and get shut down too easily.

We could really do with a class ruck for next year as a priority and with a fit Patrikios and Nat Exxon back we will be better again. Forward set up we require another quality small forward and I am sure we already have that on our list by switching a mid and going forward.

Adelaide are seriously good to watch and our defensive efforts negated their better skills and system, we just did not have enough talent to capitalise.

We have played 3 of the best 4 sides in the last 3 weeks and we are not at their level yet. Better Ruck and bigger onballer and another good forward and we are not far away.

As it is said our last 10 players are better than most just need to get an upgrade to a couple in the first 10.

You have to ask the question then how are we not at the Hawks level yet when we had 3 years head start on them?

gotta start with the startup concessions, we had the worst, they had the best. then when we were tripe, we never got the pointy end of the draft because we kept getting pushed back or the VIC talent pool got gifts to head interstate.

and we kinda shat the bed at the start and it's just taken us longer to recover because of the above reasons

Generally speaking, the concessions that group of new teams got compared to us are leagues apart.

Just looking at draft picks, Hawks got 4 top 10 and that group of teams all got multiple pick before any existing team. We got pick 3 in our first draft and had to pick behind 2 existing teams.

It was frankly disgusting the level of concessions the other teams joining got and we got absolutely **** all then pushed even further down in subsequent years.

The big issue is that its all seen as as "it doesnt matter" thing because the league is barely still in its infancy but it grinds my gears that the exact issues that hampered the VFL/AFL for so many years were just casually reinforced in what should have been a clean slate beginning.
