This is just my own assumption but I reckon Sheedy held the reigns till he got the flick in 2007, would any of us even known who dodoro was back then?

I actually have a clear memory of this because it was the time I first joined bigfooty. I can confidently say it was already a significant issue on this board in 2007.

In fact, one of the first threads I remember reading was titled "Adrian Duddoro" or something like that, which was posted shortly after our horrible season that year. I've since tried to find that thread but have not been able to.

People were rightly asking questions, but were ultimately convinced or shouted down by others who claimed that everything was Sheedy's fault and that Dodo had had little influence despite being in the role for a decade.

The forum tends to take the most passionate and interested fans, the masses are less attentive to the details and tend not to think deeply about 20 years worth of list management in a single sitting, so they take longer to catch on. Not sure what excuse board members have aside from being irl busy.

Fair, I only came on board last couple of years and just assumed dodoro had become a thing in the 2010s!
Still reckon Sheeds would have thrown his weight around more than your average coach but we probably should have cleared out all of sheeds mates when he left and had a clean break.

I think you might be right actually! That explains why I couldn't find it if the title was changed.

For some reason, I thought this thread was started more recently and by a different poster to the OP. Did this merge with another one recently or perhaps there is more than 1 dodo thread?

Dean Rioli was the first ever dodo pick iirc, just after he took over from judkins. Probably one of the few decent ones in his first decade.
