I've enjoyed the ads posted, especially the 'where are my chips' one. This was always one of my all time favourites and I'm glad I could find it on Youtube, which allows endless recycling of tropes and memes in popular culture. Sick em' Rex.....

not so much the advertisement itself, but I thought Ancestry.com sponsoring the NRL "State of Origin" was pretty clever.
I wanted one of these so bad when I was 6 years old. I begged my mother to no avail.
If you have a working one, they are worth more that $10,000 USD, broken ones go for > $3000 USD. If my mother had known that she may have bought one. Rupture ear drums and tinnitus often resulted from it's misuse. You could stuff just about anything into the barrel and launch it.
The kid is a well known actor, can you guess who?

There's one of the super ads on at the moment (CBUS?) that talks about how it's been going for 40 years and has some comparison footage of building workers in the 1980s and now.
The main thing I took away from it was how fat we've become as a population. The 1980s workers are all lean while the current ones are whales, by comparison.
I'm sure that wasn't the message they were going for.
