Pick 5 will do in the draft.

I actually think if a game was going to be thrown the jags would do it here, but stuff it. I'm off tomorrow and a gambler so go Jags.

We couldn't draft a QB worse than Gabbert so I have that to look forward too. :D

Who holds the AE record for the highest season CR total?
A. Peterbuch74
B. Peterbuch74
C. Peterbuch74
D. Peterbuch74

:D

Here is the CR leadersboard after week 14 the year Moo won the CR… lowest total is unlikely to be under threat this season UNLESS we have another 'any Given Sunday' week of upsets. Moo hold the lowest score record of 1455.

Current leader, @Crowman23, is projected (on his averages) to score 1534 which just surpasses last years champ, ac83 's score of 1532. For Crowman23 to surpass PB74's record of 1592, Crowman23 will have to average 122 at least. It's possible but highly unlikely. For those unaware, Lards is now Tannehill17 .

Thanks for the snippets of history Woodson , for us rookies it is interesting looking back on past years and seeing how the competition panned out. From what i have noticed it seems like Sven always seems to be up near the top of the leaderboard. Anyone who can accomplish that over the years deserves kudos.

Sven had his down year in 2011 (11th) when PB74 was o/s to celebrate his AE triumph. But aside his 11th, Sven has been prominent with three TOP TEN finishes not including his 2008 CR Championship win in his rookie season. I worked the Moto GP this year and got myself a copy of the points allocation of the GP championship to use as a guide to put together for the AE after this season is complete. Also will do up a comprehensive ND W-L-T all time spreadsheet.

If i can finish 11th in any season i would take it as a successful one, how many people were in the comp at the beginning compared to the 84 now ?

Was that the year I finished 2nd? If so, how close to first was I in the end?

This is a pretty good point actually. Top 10 this year is more significant than the same spot 4 years ago.

Yup.
Even dozen. All the details (Top 10 finishes) are presented on the ae13clubhouse.com site under CR pennant glory.

In the interests of honesty it's my 2nd TNF no show and I lose more points Woodson

I tipped the Jags so I'll hold my head high :D

I said Houston played their grand final last week. Almost professional level of analysis there ;)

Not on my records..*shrugs* good for you to take the 1CR.

Woodson - There's no extra money I my account yet.
When am I getting this?

When you actually 'win' and IF you're good enough!! Nothing is a given in the AE… ask the likes of NDG, the Honey Badger, Chism et al.

You're emphasising the "if"?
But good point on the when.
I guess I can let you enjoy a little more interest :p

ED SABOL CONFERENCE

SVEN vs SODAPOP

A grand escape courtesy of the Seahawks on MNF last week enabled Sven to roll past rookie PhillyCat by just five points to set up a re-match against Sodapop, who got pipped by the narrowest of margins in their one & only previous encounter back in week 3 this year. Sodapop toughed it out last week against the stubborn Travodo88 who is always a handful to take on, in a gruelling 110-100 contest. Sodapop has already posted five scores of triple digits which could prove to be an immense challenge for Sven who notched up his third triple digit score last week. Both have acclaim with CR championship achievements in the AE with Sodapop also involved in the inaugural 3XKO showdown which Fuey needed a tie-breaker to deny Sodapop a double crown in the same innugural 2007 online season of the AE. Both incorrectly selected the out-of-f0rm Texans on TNF which means Sven's job of breaking 100, a tad more limiting.

Woody Line: Sodapop -1.5pts

BLACKY vs SMITHS

Having avenged his week 3 loss to GeeCats07 with an emphatic 22 point pasting last week, Blacky faces the opportunist in Smiths who is willing to take his chances as he did last week with four underdog picks to squeeze past NakedDeadGuy by four points making it five from nine in close contests. Even though Blacky has burned his 11CR already on the Texans, expect him to rally. Smiths will obviously need to capitalize on this 10 point jumpstart opportunity presented, to stand any chance to hold out the persistent Blacky who has overcome a double digit flop on more than a couple occassions already this season.

Woody Line: Blacky -2.5pts
*************************************
QUIN STICK vs LUKOZADE

The difference of over fifty points differential on the CR standings won't faze Lukozade who got within ten points of QuinStick in their week 4 encounter as Lukozade put up a season best last week to drill fellow rookie Striker475 by an impressive 23 point margin.
The final margin of 22 may have flattered QuinStick in his victory over the gallant Larkis last week with hefty differentials in three games which fortunately favoured QuinStick to make the win look easy but QuinStick will be challenged by Larkis' apprentice this time around and it could prove to be more the challenge as LUKOZADE is peaking at the right time, making forward progress on the CR standings and is well poised to snap Quin Stick's ten game winning streak with the aid of a seven point differential from TNF.

Woody Line: Lukozade -3.5pts

BEEZ vs DIRTY BIRD

Vengeance seems to be the ongoing theme as the hot-to-trot Dirty Bird looks to avenge his week six narrow loss to Beez by four points after monstering BGT2110 with a powerful 131 point score which is the season AE best. Dirty Bird still remains undefeated in ND play-offs which may not completely overawe the rookie who happen to smashTomatosauceling by a scorching 42 point margin which is the record ND play-off margin, surpassing TCol's 39 point hammering of Swannies back in 2011. The good news for Beez is that he is finding his best form now and with a chance to sweep Dirty Bird, the time to sting the 2010 ND Champ is right now as the big stage is set to a epic finish with more than just bragging rights and reputations on the line with a serious tilt for the 2013 ND Championship title!!

Woody Line: Dirty Bird -5.5pts

WEEB EWBANK CONFERENCE

CROWMAN23vsOSMODIAR

On paper, this match up may not have the same intrigue appeal as others but it's worth mentioning Crowman23 gave his opponent last week, Jonesy86, a head start before coming over the top with the latter games to claim a comfortable 110-96 win which required Jonesy86 to go under .500 of his remaining 15% CR which could spell trouble if Osmodiar is on his game as a fervent armwrestle with Axis Miles03 was developing after Osmodiar made a strong recovery from a early TNF setback. Emerging with an eight point victory, Osmodiar proved that adversity at the next level will hold him in good stead against the CR leader of the pack. Adversity for Crowman23 starts here with an eight point deficit to overcome.

Woody Line: Crowman23 -3.5
*************************************

ARKIE vs STATSMAN74

So closely located on the CR standings with just three points separating them along with their only previous meeting from 2011 where Statsman74 claimed a late season four point victory only ensures that this will only go down to the wire considering they already have correctly selected the Jaguars from TNF. Statsman74 used his spare 15CR to come from behind on MNF to cruise to victory over Imation23 who made a mindboggling ambitious selection that backfired leaving him the under siege Saints to pull off an upset road win which never looked like happening after they conceded 17 points in the first quarter. Arkie is looking to continue the good form with a season high last week against Sblack who had a mindboggling selection of his own that truly backfired. This promises to be a doozy. Both have a TIE this season along with notching up three wins from six close contests.

Woody Line: Statsman74 -1.5
*************************************

GALACTIC vs JEFFDUNNE

Whilst JeffDunne was ever so fortunate that Bears kicker Robbie Gould missed that 47 yarder in OT to clinch victory, the same cannot be said about Galatic's come from behind 106-102 win over his nemesis, Tannehill17, with the help of a nemesis of his beloved Pats. JeffDunne has already dropped two previous match ups to Galactic with them already being Jim Thorpe Division rivals, in a week six result (84-69) that allowed Galactic claim the tie-breaker. JeffDunne is ahead by 44 points on the CR standings over Galactic which works well for him to be favourite considering he already has an 11 point differential.

Woody Line: JeffDunne -7.5
*************************************

PRAWNOGRAPHER vs TCOL

The dangerous TCol is looking to replicate his 2011 ND triumph by coming thru the wildcard pack once again. His tenuous mauling of ChockNurris last week by 27 points just spells out that Prawnographer will need to play LIGHTS OUT here to stay in the contest. TCol may only be 11 points ahread on the CR standings but when it comes to play-offs, BEASTMODE from TCol can count for triple in standings separation.

Woody Line: TCol -8.5

Woodson that was en epic write up, loved it! We were indeed lucky with the Vikings and after reading your write up I'm feeling even more lucky now.

Picking winners in this comp is all about timing. GG seems to have his thumb on the pulse too often.
