I think the crawl is ok, people can just catch up when they want and getting skipped isn't such a big deal this far in.

Thankfully there's a test tour of Sri Lanka starting Jan 29, Champions Trophy in late Feb and South Australia recommence their Shield season top of the ladder before round 1.
