Any chance Carlton wear the clash again against Brisbane? It would look a lot better in terms of differentiation.

I was thinking this too, but there's no precedent. They've never worn anything but the home and white shorts at the Gabba (apart from during Indigenous Round obviously).

Surely the Giants make the orange jumper their home from next season. Easily the best jumper they've had and they're going to play at least 3 finals in it this year.
Never Surrender for their home kit, current orange for their away / clash.

I wonder if Nike have the means to readily prepare a clash set with Ems on the front.
Both the KFC and Emirates logos are the same colour and a similar sized box. Could iron-on patches be the way to go? Or maybe the sponsors would agree to a one-off swap given the increased publicity for both around the story.

Pretty quiet on here. What are our GF predictions? Reckon we could see Brisbane in full home a la 02/03 if they make it? I can’t see them wearing Fitzroy red in a granny, but who knows

My prediction is:
Collingwood-Uniform2023.png
vs
Brisbane-Uniform2020W.png
or
Carlton-Uniform2023A.png

Yes, Collingwood vs Carlton would be a clash but realistically this is the precedent and I can't see that changing this week.

Also would much rather see Brisbane in Maroon shorts Ala 2002 and 2003, however it's been a long time since we've seen that so I'm certainly not assuming that would be the case.

And yes all white next week v collingwood assuming brisbane dont come back
Everyone gets it except Carlton and the bosses at AFL.

Even Collingwood get it - they consistently wear a clash v Carlton when they're away.

Only three pages!? What happened to this thread this year!?

Anyway, very interesting to see which way the uniforms drop this year. I reckon Brisbane would prefer to be in their home jumper, and the 02/03 GF set a precedent for both teams in full home but its just not something that the AFL do these days so I don't see it happening. For me I only see it going one of two ways:

1/ Collingwood get their home jumper for finishing higher, but the AFL invokes the "Geelong rule" and puts them in white shorts with Brisbane in full home to provide the greatest contrast.

2/ Collingwood get full home uniform, and the AFL put Brisbane in Fitzroy jumper with white shorts.

Option 1 would be my preference and wouldn't really deviate from their recent GF uniform stance. But I think option 2 will happen.

If they’re going to be wearing the Fitzroy jumper, how quickly can we get Classic to whip up some royal blue shorts?!

I know this is just fantasy but it would deadset be a better matchup to remove the unnecessary white shorts against a team with a half white jumper. It would also just look hot

Other than with our Indigenous jumper we haven't worn a black jumper with white shorts for a few years, I can't really see it happening tbh

It sort of beggars belief that in the biggest game of the year there are about five or six different permutations to what we could see clubs wear. It's a mark of how spineless the AFL is in regards to a concrete clash policy
