Ah, simply missing personnel.

No surprise that this is the go to excuse.

Basically a VFL team out there the past two months for Carlton, I agree.
It isnt an excuse it is the truth. You can cover 1 or 2 but not what we have.

Opposition supporters will revel in it and good luck to ya! Deep down opposition supporters want other teams to be injury riddled as it helps their own teams fortunes.

Hasn't been his issue today but was going at 48% by foot up to this game which is crazy low for a guy who gets so many uncontested touches.

Was so good earlier in the year but has really struggled to find form lately
He hasn't been kicking well since his back injuries hit. Was still playing well but his kicking went downhill quite a bit

Add Tom DeKoning / Docherty / JSOS / Martin / Cerra / Cottrell among others we are vastly different.

To win flags and finals you need to be healthy exactly like the Lions / Cats / Hawks and Dogs who are healthy and surging when it counts.

We are a heavyweight boxer in the 12th round currently! Season is done.
Docherty is in his 30s on a 3rd ACL. You can't seriously be listing him as an important in at this stage.

Cerra's form this year has been pretty poor. I'm not sure he's currently bringing a lot more than Kennedy or Hewett, who have been sub when Cerra plays.

Martin is made of glass.

JSOS and Cottrell? Oh dear.

TDK is one important absence but plenty of clubs right now have those.

Geelong yesterday were missing SDK, Rohan, Cam Guthrie and then lost Bruhn in the first half before Ollie Henry got injured in the 3rd term. Not a big, important injury list but neither was Carlton's heading into this game.

Still a half to go. Hawks don't always finish strongly. Carlton can't play worse.
Though they do look out of breath already, run off their feet.

JSOS, Martin lol

Martin will next play as a 30 year old who has always been made of paper. If you are missing him maybe your list isn’t that good to begin with, and need to start putting things in place to replace him.

Might as well add Fantasia in…

If you’re going to post about your clubs injury list you should post who they’d replace from that weeks game. People act as if there is 25 guys in a best 22 - surprised Cuningham isn’t named as a best 22 player this week now he’s missing

I’m not superstitious or anything but all this bullishness on the Hawks just smacks of another fourth quarter capitulation a’ la Port & GWS.
Would be pretty bad for that to happen, especially with blues being down on the bench as well

Carlton have 35 players in their best 22, so have been missing 8-12 every week.
