Multiplat AFL 23: Launch Thread (Xbox release date TBC)

STATE OF PLAY:

• The game is out for Steam and PlayStation. There have been issues with Xbox release and it is unclear when the game will be available.
• Big Ant are aware that there are playability issues & bugs at present.
• Content has been temporarily removed from the game to identify where the issues lie.
• This content will be re-introduced via patches in the coming days.
• Big Ant have released a summary of what is to be reintroduced, which can be seen below.

You can definitely play two players locally on a PS4/5.

Make sure both controllers are active and logged in prior to starting the game.

It only occurs when a user creates a stadium without a fenceline. The interchange bench then snaps to the middle of the ground. It's clearly a bug.

It's just a bit of fun from Ross in his reply, he's not blaming anybody. Are you looking for a witch hunt? At least be fair in your criticisms.

I dont see that as him having fun. Where's today's patch?

Honestly I've resisted the pile on until now but there's a limit to how much misinformation one can take, up to launch I could accept Ross at his word that we'd see everything pre launch and have everything at launch.

Id have thought once that was proven to be incorrect he'd at least commit to information here, but instead he's promised 2pm and delivered at 5pm, then promised a patch today which hasn't materialised (and sounded like it would be much much earlier).

So it's hard to take that Twitter comment as tongue in cheek, especially to a person who is probably legitimate in their question. I'm sensing a fairly narcissistic personality type based on the events over the last month/2 days.

There's no winning here for Big Ant, so they're doing what they should be doing, working around the clock to fix the mess they've made.

Nothing confirmed yet - they’ll be added into play now soon, but there’s been no confirmation for people asking if they’ll be playable in management mode. There was a like on “integration” but as far as that appears, it may just be the state league club integration is the players appearing in the draft

Usually PR teams will leave out an apology if they feel their company has done nothing wrong, which would be odd in this case obviously lol

Yes there was winning there for Big Ant. Launch the game in a playable state, with the features listed on the advertisement, and not fly your CEO to India on the eve of the launch.

Me too mate, I have”played” 2 games. Well not really, first try wouldn’t get past the teams loading screen before crashing. 2nd time the game loaded and then radomnly crashing after like a minute.. ughhh
