STATE OF PLAY:
  • The game is out for Steam and PlayStation. There have been issues with Xbox release and it is unclear when the game will be available.
  • Big Ant are aware that there are playability issues & bugs at present.
  • Content has been temporarily removed from the game to identify where the issues lie.
  • This content will be re-introduced via patches in the coming days.
  • Big Ant have released a summary of what is to be reintroduced, which can be seen below.

My game on PS4 was going great up until the 3rd quarter when I went to go take a mark when it somehow rebounded off my players hands all the way to the other teams 50 which went out of bounds, crashes. (The ball travelled over 100 meters) 👎🏻
 
I hope you're kidding, they were low budget "balance sheet" imitators of Big Ant, that never wanted to simulate the sport, just kept on imitating Live 2011 without half the gameplay features. The developer they're imitating would be better off just keeping on developing the game, it looked unfinished even in the demos.

But hey, their gameplay was much more playable, did they even need to drop 14 patches in total? BigAnts simulated data isn't any better atm. Didn't someone post their All-Australia side was all CHFs?

I believe we got a total of 4 or 5 patches over the course of the game
Tru Blu have been known to not like patches though. I’m sure WW would have pushed out more if they could
 
Also hate that we have to scroll through a list to find players. The Evo games actually had a really good team selection screen. You could easily find your reserve players as it was all in one place. You didn't have to scroll
Yeah I'm missing that press triangle to return to on-field list or bench, and the compressed table of players in reserves. Scrolling through the long list is tiresome especially because I constantly rotate my squads week in (7-8 changes a game)
 
Yep exactly. I can think of reasons why you wouldn't want the gifs being shared, but none of them are good.
Exactly... As long as those gifs are being shared and have a detailed report to the Support team, I don't see a problem with them being posted here also.

I think initially it wasn't clear that these were being appropriately reported though... but I noticed GoldbergsGold has been mentioning his reports more lately. (Good stuff)
As for mine... I also mention the Platform and Patch version too... in case it's already been patched in a newer version.

Weird that they thought this was a good idea with no way to get back to the field other than scrolling through 20 reserves
Literally takes twice as long to select your team which is silly

Normally for the sake of realism I enjoy setting up the pre-season teams to be almost entirely made up of new draftees and fringe players, but with this menu it takes me like 10 minutes to do just that
 
Is anyone able to match AI for tackling? I'm absolutely hopeless at it and lose counts 5-40 most of the time. Makes ground ball defence inside 50 absolutely impossible and an automatic goal for oppo every time.

Is this a common thing or am I just particulary bad at it?
For me it’s being tackled multiple times around stoppages, there’s just no time to accelerate out of a pack, clearance kick or handball is the only option but sometimes you just want to get run out to create space.

Not being to snap at goal after receiving a hit out is annoying as you are tackled instantly.
 
Think the momentum system is a bit too much frankly. One minute the game feels way too easy, and then the next it feels unfairly difficult.

I get that sometimes irl teams can get on a roll and kick 4 or 5 in the span of a couple of minutes but it's happening every quarter seemingly, for both teams.
 
BigAntStudios would you be able to clarify why licensed players cant have their stats edited? Is that solely a Champion Data rule? I’m assuming it has to be since editing a real players stats isn’t technically the same thing as editing their likeness would be…? I’m just finding it odd lol thanks.
I'm really going to struggle with management mode if I can't edit all the players stat's before I start. I feel that and sliders are a must.

Does anyone still have Evolution 2 and able to dump a screenshot in here of the interchange/reserves screen? I might log as a feature request on the Big Ant site to update this. I traded mine in when getting this
 
While I do understand this point of view, as the thread is not really monitored much, GoldbergsGold has also been submitting so many tickets to the Support website to help, as well as posting here to show the masses what he's experiencing. I don't think he should be shamed for posting GIFs here at all.
The problem is they're public here. Can't have any public videos showing how broken the game still is 2 weeks after launch.
 
Sooo I caved in
Decided to start a management mode because I was sick of the play now
Game crashed in the 3rd qtr in the pre season game
Happy to say I won’t be playing this game again until all is ironed out
Too much of a headache being reminded that I paid $99 for a game in which has 1 (kind of) working mode and it’s of the most basic nature
 
This game had everything!!! My best game to date, sadly lost the game AFTER the siren, but it included a fend off from Durrsma, a screamer by Allir Allir and Rioli, intercepts marking running back with the flight, nice passages of play! It's just a kicker how the AI can kick a couple goals in quick succession, up by 10 in clutch time, went to slow down the play and kick to space and hawks go BANG BANG! Gosh it tough, but WHAT A GAME!!! 😍🥹🙌🏼

There are some coaches where the scans are late, the choice was to not have any cut-scenes at all until those scans we complete or put in place-holder scans, we decided it was better to have the scenes in the game.
Is the aim to have ALL 18 coaches in the game at some stage? :)

And in very quick succession also, like I'm talking 2-3 goals within 90 seconds?

I've lodged a couple of tickets on scoreboard issues. They differ from Season to Play Now. The worm going backwards for scores after the siren also included.

One thing I don't understand is Interchange. Unless players are visibly fatigued, eg run slower, getting out marked or injured, then why not just stick to your starting line-up for 4 quarters? I've noticed no difference in having a 70 rated player against 90 except for height in ruck taps.

In the future it would be great to have match-up stats. In reality you would make a change if your Full Forward is getting towelled up by a particular Defender.

But for now basic player control is the main source of frustration.
