STATE OF PLAY:
  • The game is out for Steam and PlayStation. There have been issues with Xbox release and it is unclear when the game will be available.
  • Big Ant are aware that there are playability issues & bugs at present.
  • Content has been temporarily removed from the game to identify where the issues lie.
  • This content will be re-introduced via patches in the coming days.
  • Big Ant have released a summary of what is to be reintroduced, which can be seen below.

The killer is that it appears everyone has a different experience so replication isn't always 100%. They might replicate what you and I experience, but Johnny and Bob on the same console as us might have a different experiences and them patching our issue wrecks theirs. But yeah simple gameplay being janky surely would be picked up on the dot. Thankfully you've been reporting them though - 99% of consumers won't

Does this make sense? The right hand doesn't even connect with the ball and the left hand isn't even doing a throw motion, but the ball travels 30 metres.

Yeah, it be a difference, too, with difficulty. I'm playing on hardest on PC.

haha yeah a 30m handball would require a massive swing, not something someone you could do uncontested or standing still, or by banana handballing. Hodgey style:

 
Craig McRae is still showing as bald on my game is this the same for anyone else? or know when it’ll be fixed
 
Currently in the midst of a Zelda addiction, sounds like the game has improved a lot since I returned it. Looking forward to grabbing it again in a couple of months once I'm all Linked out.
 
Please contact support.bigant.com and they can look into why this is occurring, we have crash logs here that indicate the game is now very stable for the vast majority, we'd love to find out why this is happening for you.
I think the crashes (that cause a PS5 crash dump to be sent) may have been cleared up... I haven't had one in a while. But there's still times where the game hangs... (Second match for me, 5min quarters).... An the hang doesn't produce the crash dump.... but to the user, it's essentially a crash (i.e have to manually exit the app and start again).

I've sent some info over to support about this... and saw something again this morning that may be symptoms that hint at the underlying problem... so hopefully they can find what the actual issue is.

Thanks for the reports, really appreciated, as always support.bigant.com is the best place as they can dig into the issues - and non-progression bugs are really hard to find and get info on as we don't get a crash dump.

PS: Much better than spamming this thread with gifs, etc. that actually don't help us move the game forward.

Yep I've also sent a couple tickets last night and this morning with photos and descriptions attached also.

There are some coaches where the scans are late, the choice was to not have any cut-scenes at all until those scans we complete or put in place-holder scans, we decided it was better to have the scenes in the game.

For the first time last night really felt like the gameplay was finished. Lost by 10 points but felt like it was my own fault making silly passes when in clear space. The contested part of the game is unreal. Recommend to everyone to play by using manual switching and when the AI has the ball and is chaining kicks to take a player from HF or a mid and get them to sprint a kick behind the ball, clogs up the AI's lead space and results in them trying to run the ball by hand or giving you a satisfying intercept.

If you're really struggling with marking too this is a good way to leave it up to the players stats/positioning rather than your inputs.

Main thing I want now is a way to efficiently generate academy players and add them to a custom team easily. Right now its quite laborious.

Damn, was hoping it was going to roll on the ground. I don’t know how it works behind the scenes but I’m assuming that somehow that handball skipped registering every player nearby and locked in to someone on the other side of the ground.

If it hit the deck I thought it might just be a stupid bug that spazzes out when tackled and flings the handball a hundred metres away.

Just a question will they included into management mode as everyone has requested?

There are discussions ongoing as to what you will be able to edit with regard to those players, as they are not scanned the idea is that they will be editable.

That is fantastic. Lots of us have been wanting to start a management mode with a state league club and build our way up to the big leagues - can't wait to jump in
 
I seem to be giving up some goals in clutch games leading to close losses, my spoils are going to the AI and no time to do anything to stop the next passage of play.

Any suggestions? :)

So state leagues/a proper managment mode was never ready for launch in April May regardless of whatever happened to make the launch a mess?
