Multiplat AFL 23: Launch Thread (Xbox release date TBC)

STATE OF PLAY:

• The game is out for Steam and PlayStation. There have been issues with Xbox release and it is unclear when the game will be available.
• Big Ant are aware that there are playability issues & bugs at present.
• Content has been temporarily removed from the game to identify where the issues lie.
• This content will be re-introduced via patches in the coming days.
• Big Ant have released a summary of what is to be reintroduced, which can be seen below.

I'd like to preface this comment with the fact that I love Big Ant and have been playing their games since before AFL Live but the copy on that Steam listing is really quite terrible and its not at all enticing to the average consumer.

I'm in the same boat. I might get it on steam play for less than 2 hours & then refund. But at the same time I dont mind supporting big ant & owning copies on multiple platforms.

If I was a Xbox player who had a ps4 I'd do that. Did have evolution 2 both on Switch & PS5, even if it wasn't the greatest

Depends on your download speed. Mine is about 6MBps and it'll take me a little over 3 hours.

depends on internet speed but id assume since we are all in australia the country with the worst internet 2-3 hours would be the average

I and many others appreciate yourself and Big Ant bringing us an AFL video game, it's definitely not a given for this sport. Hope it sells well and we can see Big Ant continue to evolve the game in the future

Hard to believe that between getting off the plane tonight and collecting baggage the thread was closed and this one had three pages.

Without getting too ahead of myself, this is probably a positive sign of more AFL games to come from BigAnt.

Thank you for taking the risk of investing into developing this game BA. We were long overdue for another AFL game, and you've delivered one for us. As you said Ross BigAntStudios, it was a passion project, and it clearly hasn't been straightforward up until this point, but thank you regardless for managaing to get to this point. It looks to be a significant step up over what we've seen in the past! Hopefully many hours of great fun on the game.
