Multiplat AFL 23: Launch Thread (Xbox release date TBC)

STATE OF PLAY:

• The game is out for Steam and PlayStation. There have been issues with Xbox release and it is unclear when the game will be available.
• Big Ant are aware that there are playability issues & bugs at present.
• Content has been temporarily removed from the game to identify where the issues lie.
• This content will be re-introduced via patches in the coming days.
• Big Ant have released a summary of what is to be reintroduced, which can be seen below.

Can we please also see a view of a player in player creation community before we download them. The current top downloads Chris Judd and Ben Cousins look nothing like them.
Im also unsure if we can rate them yet either.
Can we please also have the chance to filter age- overall on squad lists.
I also have no idea how to make someone an interchange pre game. It shows ( InT) next to interchange, but there is no option to toggle anything besides Captain, ruck and kickouts.

Please consider changing or (adding) more set shot options. The more the better. The clicking option is far less superior then a flicking option.

Besides games crashing. The main issues i have at the moment is handballing chains slowing down play, tackling being not existent randomly. And no knowledge at all on how to take a speccy?
Last but not least, the random power semi-circle under every player that does nothing, can we remove it unless a set shot is being taken?

Even though the gameplay is poor right now, the biggest disappointment is Pro Team. The least you could do is give us the Pro Team mode so we could open packs and have some kind of fun with the game and make a team while you fix it. It provides Good content too. (And good money, assuming micro transactions are involved)….

If pro team is not ready for a particular reason, just tell us when and why?

I only have this game to play online and quick play online without a ranking or leaderboard of some sort is not satisfactory (for $100)

I find the game is still incredibly easy with the end to end camera, normal camera makes the game more difficult in my opinion.

Listened to the latest PressStartAU podcast where they discussed AFL23 (before launch). One of the more interesting discussions was the speculation that Xbox charge quite a lot for patches. If this is true, then perhaps it's a good thing there's a delay

They don't charge for patches anymore. Haven't done for years.
