The gameplay feels better but there is still a lot more room for improvement. Just had this happen :tearsofjoy:

Played a game on easiest on 1.0.7, won it 10.0 (60) to 4.5 (29). That’s much more acceptable than yesterday for the easiest difficulty. Good update I feel, not getting penalised unrealistically and the teammates it’s choosing for me to kick to are much more clever options.

So tempted to just buy it now but i know i'll end up taking it back for a refund
Yeah, then wait, it's not in a condition where you can make methodical plays or have fun with the controls. Live 1 is still the go to Aussie Rules game, but I personally would rather not go back to it and wait for 23 to be patched completely up.

From what I've seen difficulty settings are broken and make no difference.
Not at all, easy I won 16.3 to 7.2
Hard I lost 12.3 to 15.4
Is it worth buying now or wait until all the patches are done?
Definitely worth it now imo but everybody has their different opinion, with the way it's been improving in the last 6 days I assume it'll keep going in that trajectory

I've been doing both?

The amount of people that think this game is all of a sudden good is astounding. Literally every positive comment is followed by a 'but', then continuing to justify why the game is now good.

On a side note, good to see Liam Stocker has been added to St Kilda. Glad my nagging finally got somewhere

While everyone accepts the release was not ideal, name a game developer that has released patches this quickly to fix it. BigAnt have done a tremendous job getting this right.

Support these smaller companies if you want to keep getting AFL games.

I finally also saw the wind indicator when kicking for goal!
Very faint, and only obvious where the ground was darkened by stadium shadows.

When I played the aflw the other day (pre ps4 patches on 1.04) the wind metre was always there and I feel like it was actually doing something to my kicks. I felt like I had to actually point when I think I needed it to go. Hopefully that’ll be implemented in the foreseeable patches.

Downloaded the PS4 patch and now the game crashes on play now whenever I try to cycle to a clash jumper. Has even crashed a couple times just going through team selection. Haven't been able to play on the new patch yet.

One of the guys mentioned earlier about deleting and re installing the game and had no issues with crashes. I think that’s the way to go. I haven’t played since we had the 1.04 and looking forward to playing tonight with all the new patches. Will probably feel like a new game for me going to 1.04 to whatever we are at now.

Your not wrong, but it doesn't mean the game is good yet. Glitches and crashing galore. Still missing plenty of features. Management mode is not good whatsoever right now leaving play now as our only option, if you can get through a game that is. Still a long way off the mark for what they claim to be a AAA sports game

Went up to medium, lost 4.2 (26) to 7.3 (45). Found that errors fully due to the game’s faults were virtually non existent, at most I might have conceded one goal that felt like 80% the game’s fault and 20% my fault but it felt like for the most part it was me at fault if I made a mistake I’d get punished. On the flip side scoring goals felt more earned given I’m not destroying my opponent at every given opportunity. A step in the right direction and I’m excited to progressively build my way up to winning on the hardest difficulty as opposed to how it was from launch to 1.0.5.

Share your gameplay, are you on PS5? The only plays that work well is to completely limit the very awkward hand balls and kicks that go in the wrong direction a lot, and just sprint and bounce with the ball, because the opposition don't pressure you when you're in possession. I'm also still getting those 80 metre backwards hand balls on the current PC patch.

Is anyone else annoyed at how the likes of Richmond, Melbourne, Gold Coast and Geelong all have ANZAC guernseys yet the two main ANZAC day teams (Collingwood and Essendon) are yet to have theirs included??????
Nope, because there's still not consistent and complete gameplay yet. Once 90% of people are happy with how the game is playing, then we can all discuss the inclusions of guernseys, correct hair colour, sock lengths, sleeves/sleeveless guernseys etc.

It sucks that certain teams are included and others are not, but might just have to stew on that for a little longer.

Adding to this, there’s some major stat discrepancies which I’m not too fond of. Playing as Port v North and the hit outs are 18-6 against me. I used Lycett for a little over a half and switched him for Finlayson due to fatigue, not sure how 34 year old Goldstein didn’t need to be switched at all but ah well. Even more confusing that my 6 hit outs break down into 5 for Lycett and 1 for Finlayson, would assume bringing a fresher ruck on would result in a better performance due to less fatigue. Clearances were 19-3 in North’s favour and from memory that’s an area Port are good at IRL. Not sure how I can work my way around losing the clearances but inside 50s were 14-13 in my favour so I guess I’m doing alright.

My problem is that they added some ANZAC guernseys but didn't add the two primary ones. If you arent adding those ones dont add any at all.

Game crashes on PC only when I pick any of the big 4 AFLM vic teams, do they have an unusually high amount of guernsey to pick from, crashing the game? Or was this game made by a Saints fan, jealous of the crowd sizes?
