So I think the key to kicking for goal is, knowing the wind direction, also getting to know the players kicking arch, are they a straight kick, do they veer left or right etc finding that sweet spot.

It’s quite an interesting challenge.
I’m assuming if sliders come in then people will just choose their preferred variant. This would be especially helpful for casuals or younger people playing.

How many times per game do things like this happen on average? The 100m handballs too.

Is single player affected?

For people lodging tickets, has there been any acknowledgement from Big Ant that these issues exist/are reproducible, and that they're working on fixes?

Same with management mode, All-Australian etc which all still sound broken.

Haven't had a handball slingshot 100m away in ages, they can still spray and not hit intended targets though.

I see multiple teleport tackles every quarter (if I posted it every single time, every reply would be mine!).

The other odds and ends I see are on pkaynow and season modes

I mean, would it be weird to say Big Ant now have a game that is heading towards a FIFA level AFL game??
Ignore my hyperbole, but just playing a few games and it’s an exciting prospect what they can potentially do with this game.

It’s now at-a point where you could really push this internationally and if course locally go on an advertising blitz.

It's not out on xbox yet. You gonna be patient or whinge.
There's over 2500 posts on this thread. The last one had almost 10,000 and the one before that over 15,000. 95% of those posts are whingeing about absolute dribble, yet you're going to single out mine?

I think I have been patient. Over 6 weeks patient. I just asked a simple question about whether or not there was any information (official or otherwise) about the xbox release considering we're now in June (the revised timeline of the original revision).

At some point in the epic history of this thread, it was mentioned that stock needed to be at retailer warehouses 2 weeks out from release date. Even if scheduled for "mid June" that should be about now.

I’m hoping you get an update soon, it seems close to a release you’d think.

I've always thought the perfect AFL game - I am referring to one that may never exist - would be a viral smash around the world that could do more for the sports popularity than a million exhibition games ever would.

You would need Advanced and Arcade, some novelty stuff probably that may not get approved e.g. for fun - not the core game - power ups on field that reverse joystick directions for the opposition for five seconds, or the ump puts his whistle away etc or - one I'd love - get to control a dog running around on the field where play doesn't stop and you can mess up the oppo for ten seconds. You know, just pure fun stuff. Doubling down on the physics engine would be key. Maybe the best way to get there would be to make it easier for modders to play around with the rule set and give players easy access community approved mods.

NBA jam style footy game. Maybe 6 a side, funny hits, that type of thing

I personally feel as though I've been walking a tight rope for weeks. There's a lot that fruatrates me about the game and have come close to giving it up completely. Yet I'm still giving it a go most nights, especially after the patch gets released.

I've gone back to Evolution 1/2 only a few times and that was early May. Played Aussie Rules Footy for a bit of nostalgia as well.

'23 has been decent but the long term AFL addiction ?? AI needs to be more challenging without it feeling like cheap/cheatingm

Big Ant did that with a cricket game, big bash, it’s pretty good! Probably had some international sales too.
True. Still making 10k annually on steam, so who knows.

I feel the average gamer is too toxic to just enjoy something. Even a game like red dead 2, which was critically acclaimed, had a lot of hate for the most minute of reasons.

Reckon big ant could create a game that takes you into the game treasure Island style, and you'd still have people crapping on it

What does it feel like playing Evo 2 now?

Usually the older games end up a lot better in the memory than they are in reality. A bit unfair to apply that rule now but I anticipate a chalk and cheese situation further down the track.

That's true

For me Evolution still plays "cleaner" in many respects. But '23 has the better graphical look and over time (once other things are cleaned up) probably will be the better game overall.

Multiple times a quarter damn keen for that to be fixed. Nothing like streaming into an open goal only to have someone tackle you from 5m away after you think you've gotten the kick away :(

Gameplay is fun, only small bugs/glitches left which I won't mention as I have faith that big ant is already aware of them.

Management mode still needs some tweaks as well... Fingers crossed for sliders and editable players for all offline modes.

All in all though, this is already the best AFL game by far.

Has anyone else noticed that on the side normal camera angle at GMHBA, when you're on the near wing, the lights clip through onto the screen?

Also, when players with long hair are featured on instant replay, Blicavs for example, their hair randomly shoots straight up?

Couple of little things that have been there since day one, BigAntStudios. As for gameplay, I've honestly been enjoying it more and more since about 1 week in. Such a good job to turn it around in this way, considering the launch. Definitely the best AFL game to date, in my opinion.

For me it's usually the last moment before bombing into the forward 50 where I see it the most. And the defensive 50 when trying to get it out
