[PS5] Gameplay still glitchy as hell. Player switching somehow appears to have gotten worse. Back onto Spiderman I go.

Controls are so unresponsive, I do not understand why players still have the turning radius of a truck, absolutely ridiculous

Yeah from the one half I got to play this morning before work this is still the big standout issue for me. Tactics have saved the CPU breakouts in the midfield/wing but like my last time playing, controlling the player is still very glitchy and confusing. The handball glitches when directing on an angle still kill me and the teleporting is frustrating to say the least.

All from playing games, I haven't simmed any of my richmond career and noticed injuries across both seasons so far.

I even went to change Nank out for Soldo to get a taller ruck but couldn't as Soldo was injured!

I have had Riewoldt, Soldo, Graham and Grimes injured all at the same time. Was forced to play Biggy Ngyuon at full back and got monstered by Hawkins ha ha
If that’s the case I will be starting a season tonight. Cheers

This is the mid season draft in season 2 of my management mode.
This needs to be addressed.
Were all of those players playing VFL/SANFL etc? I'm about 2 rounds away from the mid season draft. Did a quick scan, no AAA players in state leagues, but a stack of players like Elijah Hollands, Zach Guthrie, Levi Casboult, Jake Bowey, John Noble, Mason Cox etc. Good players but not the top notch ones. I agree though - extremely rare chance those guys even get delisted and end up in the draft. Will be interesting to see if the guns appear. I'll be chasing a ruck and the only real ones I can see are John Ceglar (back at Box Hill) or Mason Cox - otherwise my draft and trade strategy is just trying to draft any player in the game that's chucked on a Palmerston Magpies geurnsey (eg. Sandy Brock, the Daveys, Kyle Emery at South Adelaide etc.)

Hollands, Lachie Jones, Z Guthrie etc we’re all there as well but didn’t get selected

Will see how I go in that case. I know Sam D-K got traded to West Coast in the trade period for a first rounder, and Daicos is still at Collingwood, so will be interesting to see who's available. Will post a screenshot of the draft whenever I get to it today/tomorrow. Just bloody glad right now I can actually complete some management mode games without them dying!

But that’s the thing, the whole point in my opinion of management mode isn’t to simulate haha!
I can live with it if they don’t get injured in the game but you find out afterwards. Would prefer in game but won’t kill the game if that’s not in.
I think different people play management modes in different ways. For example, I have a mate who plays NBA 2K's GM mode and he goes balls deep, plays every game on 12 minutes quarters, over 82 games plus Playoffs.

I play the same mode, but I'm more interested in simulating games, and the drafting, trading side of things to build up a list. Then I get to simulate the season to see how they go, making changes as needed.

Not sure if this has been covered yet but I noticed that mid season draftees were now in the game too
Yeah. Jaiden Hunter is a 77 overall, 5 overalls higher than our number 5 pick Elijah Tsatas, and is a higher overall than a handful of players in our best 22. :thumbsu:

I used to do the same (all games 12 minute quarters). Then I sacrificed realism to get more games/seasons out of the way (5 minute quarters or sometimes did the NBA JAM approach and made it 3 minutes).

From what I can gather players you draft do actually grow at a very small rate currently, similar to how prior to a patch fix that you would see a push in the back free kick 1 in every 100 frees (example), as I have noticed my big Cockshell taking more marks as of late.

Looking forward to the proper development and growth patch for management mode though!

Yeah, I guess they’ve had Hunters form to work with where as Tsatas has now only played 2 games at VFL level
The only reasonable explanation I can think of anyways

Have been hyping myself up for the draft and then it hit and I realised I've got 44 players and no draft picks. Is it less than 44 you get one? To add salt to the wound, I needed a ruck, Mason Cox went to West Coast, then I checked and Lloyd Meek is now recovering from a random injury for 5 weeks leaving me with 1 active ruckman :'(

Anyways, that's my mid season draft. Melbourne and Gold Coast, sitting 10th and 11th at the moment, hitting the mature player market hard.

Can’t remember off the top of my head, but has Ross mentioned anything about being able to swap user controlled players in a ruck contest to a midfielder for example ?
Is this something they were keen to bring into the game or is it something we won’t see in this iteration ?
Feel like with the tactics now playing a small part in how the midfield sets itself up, would be good to control a player and press a button to request a hitout to that specific player on the run instead of players always being stagnant when receiving the ball from a ruck contest

Doesn’t seem to be as extreme as mine so hopefully it’s been tightened up a little bit!
