I feel it's in-between both right now. Mainly because there is a lot of the people who don't like the game and post on BigFooty, Twitter, Reddit, etc. See it as BA's "no criticism safe space" and refuse to join because of that.Hardly.. it’s the people that are enjoying the game and not crying on big footy every night about how s**t the game is..
It’s like some weird obsession you all have, come on here make sure the vendetta train is still rolling. If you all hate the game so much and believe it’s dead, why haven’t you moved on. Go outside and breath the fresh air. If you don’t want to do that, here’s a brilliant one for you. Play something else

Yeah, I'm with ya here. I'll admit that I have an account over there as well to keep track of development and be able to contact BA but I'll be honest. While I'm getting enjoyment out of the game and think it will continue to get better eventually, I'm not blind. So now people aren’t allowed to air their grievances on the game based on their experiences because you say so? I can’t speak for others but I never said I hated the game, but the bare bones of it in its current state added in with bugs doesnt entice repetitive plays for me.
Also, we’re not allowed to point out the game is buggy from its patches? Wipe 85% of this thread then. Wait around all you want, the games been out for 8 weeks exactly, not an unreasonable amount of time for things to have been fixed to an acceptable level. Oh and its also still not available on an entire console, but sure, have a dig at those less patient than you.
Yeah, I couldn't believe it, and I happily bought Live 2011 twice. This game is dead. By the time management mode is fixed and pro team is available, the AFL season will be pretty much finished. It’s probably one of the worst games I have ever purchased for $100.
This is absolutely spot on.View attachment 1725268

Maybe there is so called piss poor communication because not much more if anything else is being added to management mode this time around? Everyone likes to ask the questions and then quote Ross etc “but Ross said this, Ross said that”. Maybe the lack of communication on certain things like management mode has todo with the fact we ain’t getting much more added?.Was hoping they'd at least answer the burningquestions over there on management mode etc, but it looks like the word is still "don't say anything and hopefully it'll go away"
Was a bit silly of me to assume piss poor communication would magically improve with an in-house forum, but oh well. Gotta be grateful I guess!
There was one patch on Steam the day after the “mostly daily” tweet went out, on June 10th. Since then there’s been patches on the 16th and 21st on Steam. How many patches have actually been released since Ross stated they’d move to almost daily steam patches and weekly on consoles?
I feel like this is all people are asking. If this is the case, while it would leave management mode quite bare despite promising the deepest ever, we would have clarity and not be here every day holding onto hope that we just might get what was promised. I got the game for management mode so if that question was answered, I’d be able to make a decision based on that about how much more time I put into the game.Maybe there is so called piss poor communication because not much more if anything else is being added to management mode this time around? I get the natural response to that would be, “they should just tell us then”. The thing is no matter what they say these days it’s gonna get criticised and dissected it within an inch of its life. Probs don’t wanna give too much hope or upset people, hence they aren’t saying much . Plus they don’t have to if they don’t want to I guess.
Also I think a lot people have taken a few words from Ross: “there is more come/be added” as management mode is getting this overhaul. I doubt that’s gonna happen. It may still get improvements but not drastic ones.
I personally think management mode is what it is, we may end up with some small things added but that’s it. Let’s be honest, I think we all know that deep down and a lot of the questions people ask are futile.
Hopefully they add improvements to management mode, but i think where it’s at right now is exactly where it’s BA plan it to be. (For now)

Also, in the middle of all that, there was a tweet that Pro Team was in testing on all three platforms. There was one patch on Steam the day after the “mostly daily” tweet went out, on June 10th. Since then there’s been patches on the 16th and 21st on Steam.
I believe consoles are at 2 patches In that time.
So 3 weeks later there’s been 5 patches total across 3 platforms
Yeah I agree meeting in the middle would be the best thing but for some that still wouldn’t be good enough. That’s where BA would need to come out and say “that’s all the information we are providing and if there is anything else worth mentioning or that we can say then we will.. otherwise, that’s all for now”I feel like this is all people are asking. If this is the case, while it would leave management mode quite bare despite promising the deepest ever, we would have clarity and not be here every day holding onto hope that we just might get what was promised. As positive as I’ve been the fact is (whether accidental with launch or not) they’ve promised the world and delivered an atlas.
It’s definitely improving but how long can we realistically be expected to sit here twiddling our thumbs in the hope that we get an answer that still may not even bring any good news.
I’m not saying every single thing should be answered down to minute details but meet us in the middle and give the consumers something to work with.
I’m on PS5 and have been waiting the best part of two weeks for a patch that Steam got a week ago (possibly two, not 100% certain on dates).
It’s good that Nacon are doing external quality testing but again there’s been zero communication on how the testing may be tracking? Does it need more work? Are Nacon the ones taking forever? If it’s beyond your control with Nacon taking forever surely you communicate that.
I’ve given the benefit of the doubt for close to two months (even 3 if we include the initial delay) but it’s getting to a stage here where it’s hard to keep giving chances.
I’m still confident the game will be good, I still hope they get another crack to get it right with another game but the longer things take and the less communication we get, the more of the consumer base they’re going to lose sadly.
By the time Xbox get the game and potentially when pro team comes out we might have 5 rounds of the season plus finals left and that’s just gonna kill a lot of interest.
I'm curious what build of the game they are testing Pro Teams on because online was garbage when I returned my copy and there's been zero online fixes for consoles even though it is a "priority".I just hope that the reduction in patches (even since the announcement of the ‘most days’ patches for Steam) has been because of the focus on Pro Team and making that 100%.
I wonder if that’s a nacon directive. I wonder if nacon are calling the shots hence the lack of communication. Ross did say it’s out of their hands, maybe nacon have taken over all that stuff regards to patches and what they can and can’t say about emAs usual though, absolutely zero communication and transparency.
I wonder a whole lot of things about this game and guess what? No answers to most of them since day one.I wonder if that’s a nacon directive. I wonder if nacon are calling the shots
I think some people don’t really hold on to those things and getting annoyed over it. I think some just want a game that is enjoyable to them and don’t care about the other stuff. I personally just take life as it is what it is and no point getting angry over things I can’t control. Would it be nice to know everything that was gonna be in the game? Sure! Do I care or am I upset? No. It’s not worth it. I’ll be happy to just get the game and play it.We were supposed to know everything about the game before we bought it. That was the promise. Over a month later, we still don't know. How this is even remotely acceptable to anyone is beyond me.
I guess if it’s a nacon directive they may not want to say anything about that as to no upset them or to be seen to be stepping on their toes so to speak. Whatever the reason who knows. Again it could be a nacon directiveI wonder a whole lot of things about this game and guess what? No answers to most of them since day one.

Because that’s in my nature. It may not be in yours but that’s fine. Unless i know for fact or the reasons behind what’s gone on, I always assume/give benefit of the doubt. You may think I’m an ignorant and stupid but I don’t care. Each to their own.It never ceases to amaze the lengths people will go to give the benefit of the doubt even after being repeatedly let down time and again.
It's actually a measured response from CraigMc24.It never ceases to amaze the lengths people will go to give the benefit of the doubt even after being repeatedly let down time and again.
