Super quiet on all fronts atm.

My guess...BA have two competing priorities - 1. commitments they cannot break for other titles and 2. wanting to get a new baseline for where AFL is at without the noise. Xbo, cross play, 'some' improvements to management mode and so on. Then that will be it for a good while.

Honestly, I think it's still within reach to have an ok game where a lot of gamers have either moved on or are prepared to accept the release for what it is. For some that might be next March, but I think it's possible. I'll personally be shocked if BA/Ross are not dead serious about delivering at least most of what AFL 23 was meant to be between now and AFL 25 (or whatever the next AFL game is).

Nothing against the mod decisions but it's just incredible to see a developer silence genuine criticism of their game by moving to another platform that they can control the discussion of entirely.

This entire episode over several months now is borderline ACCC material lol. Such an utter disgrace.

Getting disingenuous now. It was less to do with specifics about any upcoming patch and just hanging poo about their patch process. It also says to take technical stuff to their board. You will get no more feedback from BAS here, so asking about patches is futile. And if you want a platform to vent then there are plenty of others for that.

Nah nothing disingenuous from me mate. Top of the page says one thing and you’re saying another. I’m asking in context of discussing the game whenever the next patch does release, thats it. I’m aware of the rest of your points and personally I don’t want to vent or ask Ross anything, I just want somewhere to discuss the game as it gets updated. Simple.

You think that if we all make a case to the ACCC about this game, They'll actually fine BA for this? Because I'm kinda ready to see some accountability for this disgrace.

No worries. It's not meant to read that worry so sorry if it does. This is what they wanted when they wanted to move communication elsewhere. People are still asking questions that will no longer be answered here and then only get frustrated when they don't.

I like you a lot George!! 😁
I'm just dumbfounded by the whole thing. Most games don't cost $100 these days, or at least the ones I'm playing. Usually I'm expecting to pay $70-90 (2K, FIFA, etc) so to me this was a premium price and at the bare minimum when you're paying that much, you expect to at least be given the features that were promised lol. And it's not even about the cost really, it's more about the principle. $100 isn't much but in a video game sense it is. I pay up, I expect to receive what I paid for.

The sycophants like that Twisties bloke jumping on Twitter on launch day and telling everyone this isn't the version he played is bizarre too. What version did he play, or was he making it up? Imagine the amount of arse-kissing he must do given Ross just shuts down any (genuine) criticism about his product lol. 'Oh it's fantastic Ross!' as players are tackling each other through an interchange bench in the middle of the MCG.

And I've seen what good developers look like too. This may be trailing off topic a little but if anyone is into boxing then give Undisputed a go, or at least check them out. Developers from the UK/US who are a similar sized org to BA but actually care about their product and give a shit about the consumer. I paid $40 for that game and in terms of gaming I've never spent better. Every month they jump on their socials for an hour long roundtable update on the game (as it's still in it's Alpha stage), they have a discord server where they take on board people's suggestions and criticisms, and continuously look to improve the game. And you can tell, the bugs have largely been removed and the gameplay is smooth. They've built huge trust between themselves and their consumers and so if things need to be changed there's huge confidence in them acting on it.

That's how a small dev team should operate if they want to be taken seriously.

Personally I can't be bothered and I doubt many can but I am curious to see how it would pan out if someone (or a group of people) were hellbent on taking BA to account and spent the time required to actively pursue this. I wouldn't be surprised if there was action taken, I'll say that much.

No stress at all mate. I think most would agree there’s been enough Ross/BA slander and it would be good to move past it. I think its also been obvious for a while he wasn’t interested in jumping back on here and answering questions (since he still isn't answering them on his own shiny new forum) but in saying all that, if we can still talk about the game when the new patch drops that would be good. 😊

Have actually been considering purchasing Undisputed tbh and you’ve just about sold me
Happy to give my hard earned to those that actually deserve it
