How many more patches do we think there’ll be before the game is finished?
Just prior to AFL 24!!

Geezus, online is so frustrating. You take a mark, the opponent ties you up in a tackle and it’s somehow you holding the ball.

Or you tackle the opposition player and they repeatedly drop it but it’s play on while your players stand around like stunned mullets.

What’s the world record for most patches for a video game? It’s feeling like a test match at the moment.
To be fair - we’re getting a stack of small patches building up the numbers - rather than them just waiting 3-4 weeks and bundling it all together. Certainly would be close to a record though - couldn’t imagine too many other devs doing this much daily work on patching these days

It’s exhausting to play. I played like 3000 online games of Live 1 and it was fun af. This is a genuine grind and I’ve played 10 online games lol. Can’t see Pro Team being released with online in this state it needs serious work

I never played Live 1 but this feels like the old FIFA’s (not sure if it still plays that way) where you’d just run the same play over-and-over.

In AFL23 it’s win the centre bounce, spread it to a wing, nail a precise kick in to the 50, mark and score because the AI movement is still ridiculous.

I’ve won more than I’ve lost but it’s just not enjoyable.

Got it last night.
I thought it was bugged too... as I was pretty sure I had played in each state/territory....
But for mine, I did it all on the same patch version (v17 on PS5), all in 'Play Now'.
Stadiums were:-
- Norwood (SA)
- Fremantle Oval (WA)
- TIO (NT)
- Heritage Bank Stadium (QLD)
- SCG (NSW)
- Manuka (ACT)
- Arden St (VIC)
- Blundstone Arena (TAS)

I have no idea if part of it is bugged, maybe just the TAS stadium at the end, where it popped for me....other than that I don't know if the rest of the info matters or not.
I got the trophy not long after release without any issues. Did stick to the main stadiums from memory

I go through the corridor a lot from center bounces. I'll do the Mick Malthouse approach and use the boundary line during kick ins :p

Yeah this. All games feel the same.
Along with all the other issues that the gameplay currently has, it’s just not enjoyable atm

Don't get me wrong I dislike the teleport tackles and the (previous - it's slightly improving) stiff movements and all that

I still get great joy in thumping Essendon, Sydney and Geelong when given the opportunity :p

What does 'updated UI elements' mean BigAntStudios ?? :)

Might have improved the menu's in the game (maybe the team squad selections ?) or maybe the in game text or dialog boxes (like the kick meters) have been adjusted ?

Very vague descriptions that can be solved by checking the game out once the update appears).

Yeah this feels like the “meta” if you want to call it that with how often the game changes atm. Mark timing is super OP and if you come across someone who bombs long it is super painful to defend with the slow recovery time from spoiling.

Live 1 had great online balance because spoiling was basically OP. You could spoil and follow up and clear the ball. The entire game was about creating overlap and making sure you could defend overlap going the other way. I found it personally really fun, set shots were “easy” but had elements of randomness, a lot was a memory game of how much hook certain players had, in turn rewarding experience of using the same team routinely (imo). Unfortunately they would get beaten to a pulp if they released something that basic now though.

Hope it comes good but is a painful wait atm

Difficulty seems to be a bit all over the shop for me a the moment, and I can't seem to land on what is right for me.

Was dominating Medium so made the jump to hard. Immediately lost my next 2 games, 40 odd points against the Cats and Power respectively.

Moved difficulty back down to medium and had a ripper of a match against the Blues

West Coast 4.0, 5.2, 6.3, 9.6.60
Carlton 3.1, 5.2, 7.2, 8.2.50

Followed this up with a classic against the Tiges

West Coast 1.0, 3.2, 6.2, 9.4.58
Richmond 1.1, 3.1, 7.2, 8.2.50

Then had the Suns on a Friday night and won more convincingly

West Coast 4.1, 8.3, 12.6, 13.8.86
Gold Coast 2.1, 5.1, 7.1, 8.2.50

Annoyingly, even though it was a WC home game, I got the Gold Coast trumpets after each one of their goals.

Last night I changed to hardest difficulty in a practice game against a VFL side. 10 minute quarters. I absolutely smashed them

Western Bulldogs 8.2, 14.9, 26.9, 33.15.213
Williamstown 2.1, 4.2, 7.2, 8.3.51

I also got a keep the opponent to 0 goals in a quarter 10 mins or more achievement at quarter time, even though that was wrong.

Turned difficultly to hard for my management game, suspected the big win on hardest was just because of the gulf in class. Not quite.

West Coast 4.3, 7.6, 12.9, 16.12.108
Hawthorn 0.1, 1.1, 1.2, 4.3.27

Belted the Hawks in Tassie. Not sure if I'm getting better, or whether the game difficulty has changed. All these games were over the space of a few days.
