Have submitted a ticket on the support page, but wanted to see if this was happening to anyone else.

I've played a few custom online matches with my friend, and the host/match creator (home team) can never win any hitouts - even timing it correctly. Doesn’t matter whichever one of us hosts, it always happens to the home team.

All things considered though: the game has significantly improved since release day. Can’t wait to see where things go from here!

Im unsure on the home team aspect. But i agree. One game ill verse my friend and hitouts and screamers and marking-spoiling works. And the next game against the same friend- NONE OF THEM WORK. NONE. For the whole game.

Its stupid.

Let’s get a fully functional management mode first where tactics are actually available and the interchange works.
They have sorted drafting for the most part, still need an option to skip/ pass on a draft pick.

Need an option to delist players and the option to sign free agents and the option to sign players on rookie contracts to a primary contract.

Also if Brownlow, Coleman and all Australian teams could be fixed then management mode is looking good.

The base for a great career/management mode is there but there’s a bit to go yet.
All the above you’ve said plus form/injuries/suspensions and training.
Knowing who played well in the reserves to earn a spot in the AFL side etc.

The potential is there, just hope it can be delivered. I have confidence they’ll get there.
 
Marking/spoiling is so incredibly frustrating. You either win pretty much every contest or lose pretty much every contest. It feels like the balance of player attribute vs user skill is way off. It feels like it was a lot better balanced a few patches ago.

Daily patches don't allow anywhere near enough time for testing.

Given the reasons given for the borked launch was a dodgy day one patch that clearly wasn't tested before it went live, it's a strange strategy to double down on.
 
Using Melbourne in online games is a cheat code, you can't lose playing as them. Gawn is so overpowered in the ruck it's not funny.

Couple that with never losing a marking contest with Brown and Grundy up forward and you'll probably be up by at least 30 at quarter time.

BigAntStudios JNT BA Will we see any updates / changes to management mode or are we stuck with what's present? Right now it is definitely not the best we've ever seen. Evo 2 and the AFL 06/07 games all far better.

Game getting boring real quickly because there is no purpose to playing it long term. Management mode is currently bare, and pro team is MIA. These were meant to be the two back of the box features

Management mode is so far from "looking good" it's not funny.

There is no training or system of improving player ability/stat's.
There is no level of reserves
There are no injuries. There isn't even a UI to see if you have injured players.
There is no suspensions or tribunal.
There is no list management features at all.
There is no ability to see your salary cap spendings.
You can literally sign all your players on 10 year contracts on $100,000 per year regardless of age or overall rating.
Age does not affect any aspect of a player at all.

I could easily keep adding to that list.

Management mode is boring, nay the entire game is boring.

It is a complete disgrace we have all paid full price for this game (I have twice with $99 on steam and the $79 pre order for xbox) without any true explanation or transparenty as to what features are in the "final build".

At the rate the patches have been improving the game it may just be enjoyable to play by Christmas.

Have people raised faults/feature requests for the stuff we’re asking for in management mode on the big ant site? Whilst I’m sure Ross and JNT are seeing our posts, if we submit it direct to the devs they’ll be double aware. I’d encourage you all to do it

But why should we have to beg for features that should have been in the game on release? We can't even get any clarity on the matter.

Why don't the AI get called for HTB anymore?

Sigh. Pretty much my first time playing in a week or so and while there's a bunch of nice features etc that weren't there before the general gameplay feels less fun to play than last time. Frustrating.

Point is they may not even have even been aware they should be in the game. We weren’t promised those exact features so can’t just expect they’ll be there because other games have them. I agree we shouldn’t need to beg, but raising a fault report on their site and reminding them of the features we wanted isn’t begging and it’s getting the point across to the dev that we expected them there.
BigAnt probably hate me as I’m constantly copying and pasting stuff from here onto their site so we can have our requests/expectations formally logged

I haven’t even seen any evidence of growth etc. in it yet but don’t believe there’s a UI for it

I'm convinced management mode is bare because majority of resources are going into star team / transaction mode
