I mean this nicely as I do love myself a conspiracy but that is definitely not the case from I've seen / know.I have absolutely no proof of this at all...
But.... now it's my time to put the tin foil hat on.
Given there was a few weeks delay on PS4/PS5/PC due to the XBox discs.... I would've thought the game would have been super-stable by release.
So then...
A week out, there's word that XBox still wasn't coming for ages....
So.... with PS4/PS5/PC ready to release....if I were in charge of feature releases (which, to be clear, I'm not and I have no idea if this is anywhere near what happened)....
I would have tried to remove some 'extra' features so that they could be released for everyone at the time when the XBox version is released.... so that XBox users don't completely miss out on everything....
Things like ProTeam, Legends, and maybe more...
If this theory is anywhere near true... then the attempted removal of those features could've accidentally created a broken build, that we all forcibly received....

They’re not happy unless others are unhappy.Except some of the people who have relentlessly criticised have stated that they have no intention of buying or playing the game.
So why are they still here 24/7? Find a new hobby...
The only changes that have happened to management mode since release is the introduction of licenced state league players and correct end of season draft order. Nothing else has changed, midseason draft order not even fixed at this point. Mode has been neglectedHey fam - last check before Diablo 4 - is management mode good yet?
Noone in their right mind releases that knowingly.
With the licensed state league players, do you know if they’re available to be drafted?Te o

No not yet, Ive just started playing zelda TOTK. Not sure now if I'll be able to put it down for 6 months.Hey fam - last check before Diablo 4 - is management mode good yet?
What if they tested the launch build as it was intended to be released and that test was fine, but then something accidentally (unknowingly) happened to that build, right before pushing out for launch or they sent through the wrong build which we got at launch. Either way they could have tested it & thought it was all fine, but something happened. Who knowsThe flip side to that of course is that no one in their right mind should have approved its release without it being tested first.
That's the overarching issue. Had QA or whoever been given 5 seconds to test the launch build, they would have reported that it was in no state to launch. Either they weren't given time to test, or their findings were ignored and the game launched anyway.
Was definitely tested, was it tested as much as it could have? I'm tipping the answer is no based on the outcomeThe flip side to that of course is that no one in their right mind should have approved its release without it being tested first.

I'm with you on that now, Online game play is absolutely a higher priority... so is/should be a priority over the other features.I mean this nicely as I do love myself a conspiracy but that is definitely not the case from I've seen / know.
Pro teams for example just can't be released until online game play is at a suitable standard.
What was released at launch I can promise was not planned or deliberate in any way.
As I've said previously, the submission build that Caden, Twistie and I played was further advanced than what launched.
Noone in their right mind releases that knowingly.
The game play we have currently, while not perfect by any stretch, is a closer resemblance to what it should have played like at launch then tweak / adjust from there IMO.
My great hope is we get some chunky patches this week with tactics, more management stuff and bug fixes

You’re assuming no testing of the launch build was done prior to launch. Until we know the truth we can’t just assume anything.
Yeh you can. Issue is you can't filter by name, league or team, yet another big. You'll have to actively search through 1000 players in the draft to find anyone specific. Could genuinely take more than half an hour to find the one name. A massive time waster considering all players are virtually the same as they can't progress or be trained, the biggest issue with management mode. Have submitted tickets on all of these, plus a bigger range of management mode errors and hugs, all to no avail thus far. With the licensed state league players, do you know if they’re available to be drafted?
Eg could I bring Liam McBean to Richmond again from SANFL in say the mid season draft?
That’s just the public change numbers. There would be other internal code commits/branches/releases that we would never see.Does anyone know how to read/ get insight into this stuff?
How funny is it that we’re now playing the Frankenstein build of the Frankenstein buildWe were told to ignore that build because it was a Frankenstein's build that meant nothing.
Now it means everything
I would love to read a book in the future, or a doco, about what really went down. Bestseller.I said no testing was one possibility, the other is that it was, and the powers that be decided to launch it anyway.
If they had two builds and released the wrong one (build a and build b) then they could have easily replaced the one they launched with the good one. Given what's happened since launch I find it hard to believe a version like that exists.
My personal theory is that they had a whole bunch of different components working OK in isolation, but they rushed the process to combine them all into a cohesive whole and here we are.
Regardless of what happened, what really sucks is the people working overtime now, QA and the programmers etc trying to fix it all, would have had no say in approving the launch, but have to deal with the consequences.
My young cousin is over on the weekend. I’ll buy him Maccas if he spends half an hour and gets me McBeanYeh you can. Issue is you can't filter by name, league or team, yet another big. Theory falls flat instantly due to the xbox disc issue being a complete fabrication.I have absolutely no proof of this at all...

Well the QA /programmers probs thought the game was or would been fine and would have giving the green light to those higher up including Ross that it was go for launch. Sometimes you have to trust those people. Either way something went wrong, we just don’t what or how it happened but it did.I said no testing was one possibility, the other is that it was, and the powers that be decided to launch it anyway.

Is there proof that the XBox Disc issue was a fabrication though?Theory falls flat instantly due to the xbox disc issue being a complete fabrication.
Was it though?Theory falls flat instantly due to the xbox disc issue being a complete fabrication.
There is zero proof of any game being held back on xbox due to distribution issues dispite Ross saying its happened to many.Is there proof that the XBox Disc issue was a fabrication though?
You can't counter my conspiracy with another conspiracy!
I’m pretty sure it’s sorted by age, so just find his age and then do a quick slide down to that. I was trying to draft Sandy Brock after he was delisted by Gold Coast and had to scroll quite a bit as he’s 20, but the older guys should appear pretty quick down the bottom. My young cousin is over on the weekend. I’ll buy him Maccas if he spends half an hour and gets me McBean
