Taranto was never a chance. He is a classic B+ midfielder but one not good enough to have a place on the Giants list. His deficits are clear.

That said the inclusion of Cripps was a sympathy measure. His form for much of the year was B Grade standard at best.

My two biases are:

• the defenders named should be able to defend. The two hbfs will likely be Sinkers II and Naicos and neither seagull is suited to or interested in defence.
• character has to be a factor in selection (same as HoF). On those grounds I would go with just two KPFs in Curnow and Larkey. The racist cooker from Crom should miss.
