I remember when Belco 3s played in the 2s...not that recently, perhaps 2006 after Wagga Tigers dropped out of ACTAFL and Weston Creek couldn't field a ressies team? Haha, says something about some of us being around too long!

It's certainly a case of swings and roundabouts as Ainslie's 2s that year got royally spanked all season pretty much, losing all games except perhaps 2, which included losing 2 of the 3 matches against belcos 3s. Not much fun, but it makes the good years all the more enjoyable now.

I'm sure Belco have made their own assessment and we'll see what the league has to say and go from there. I'm never going to advocate a leg up for Belco though :tongueclosed:

Its more than 'a few blokes unavailable', the simple fact is that since Belconnen dropped out of NEAFL 2 seasons ago a lot of players have left, across the grades but mostly Div 1/2s players. This has meant players from the lower grades have had to fill those vacancies. The players going from 3s to 2s aren't coming back down, only more will go up as the season goes on. Is losing by 100 points + most weeks not evidence enough that there isn't enough players of 3rd grade standard there?

There won't be 20+ players missing out every week, in fact there might not be any players missing out most weeks.

Coming from a club undefeated in all the men's grades, it seems a bit rich that you are making these comments out of 'genuine concern' for all the other 4th grade clubs. Looks more like kicking a rival when they're down.

At least we're showing concern. I even offered players up to help you guys with numbers so 20+ blokes won't miss out.

For the record 4's is by no stretch a two horse race. Ainslie, Yass, Cats, ANU and ADFA all a solid chance to win the flag this year. You can install Belco into the mix if they drop down. How do all the 4's blokes feel about not getting a game every week if it happens?

Googong struggling for numbers apparently...Perhaps they could get a run there?

I see in this weeks umpire appointments that there have been umpires appointed for a match between Belconnen uc magpies and Molonglo in third grade. Has Belconnen had a change of heart ? Did they secure players after all ? or is it simply a mistake ?

Just been announced they have withdrawn and would be extremely disappointing I can imagine for all those fours blokes who won't get to play footy now. Maybe those umpires can make the trip to Coota where there are non currently.

Also cheers to those Yass Blokes who have given an ex-team mate some motivation ahead of this week.

Thanks for letting me know Brenford ill see what I can find out . Its not on [/QUOTE]

Well dealt with Southcab! Whether it should have occurred or not it has really put a bit of heat into the game which if utilised correctly by blokes should make for a cracker tomorrow!

I don't believe it will effect the outcome , I also don't believe it's the block buster game that some make it out to be . It will be good however to see were we are at with our season .
