News AFL corruption & alleged secret drug testing

It’s only a stimulant if found on game day though. The AFL are just testing players who admit to taking it and telling them not to play, under the leagues illicit drug policy. This isn’t anything like Essendon.
Well it has been found on Game day...Joel Smith had cocaine in his system...
Cocaine is a drug stimulant banned by WADA...
Joel Smith played for Melbourne Football Club...
Let's see what the outcomes are...

Why next season?

This season has barely started.
Because now, for all this season whenever the topic of drugs is mentioned, the AFL have given themselves a leave pass and just say that the drugs policy is under review. It's incredible that the self same organisation that corruptly set up and managed this scheme will take all the credit for cleaning up its own mess.

Gils legacy is yet to be defined. Perhaps it will come under sharper focus when he's giving evidence at a Senate hearing sometimes in the future and he won't have the wherewithal to doctor the facts and massage the message. Whilst the AFL have trumpeted their fantastic-ness far and wide to anyone who will listen, the facts are that Gil's whole tenure was a corrupt shemozzle of deceit, mismanagement and control of the footy media. The truth hurts and it's all going to unravel.

Why would any loving parent let their kid get drafted into this corrupt environment overseen by an executive that's is clearly a school tie club unto itself and is supported by sycophantic non playing "journos" like Ferrett and Wankley ?

One final thing, the report clearly stated "players and club executives" are using coke. Which ones ? Whom ? Glen Bartlett has been trying to blow the whistle on this shit for years now and it's all slowly coming out and beginning to unravel, despite the AFL/media sycos trying to put the genie back into the bottle.

The easier question might be to ask "who ISN'T on the gear?" It might save a lot of time.

I am perplexed as to how you could think this post answers the points in my post.

For a start you are claiming to have some inside oil. Yet all "misdemeanours" committed by "Richmond" you have referred to were widely reported in the media at the time.

The AFL gave Richmond the maximum available punishment for the actual protocol breaches by 3 individuals, Stack, Coleman-Jones and Brook Cotchin. Some other clubs had people committing similar breaches, AND WHO KNOWS HOW MANY WENT UNREPORTED OR WERE SWEPT NDER THE CARPET. As I said before, none of these people who committed the breaches are at the club now, and it is not reasonable to expect the actions of a very small number of individuals for which the club was properly punished, to be held against the club indefinitely.

All the other stuff is just nonsense. Richmond are bad because one of its player's wives rang the AFL CEO to request her dog be brought into the hub...wtf. Just say no and move on you stupid campaigner McLachlan. I mean think about this with a clear head. Let's just say the WAG in question desperately wanted her dog with her in the hub for the reasons she is reported to have provided. Wouldn't the correct course of action be to contact the people set up at the AFL to answer such requests, and ask for approval? And if you don't like the answer you are given, then take it to a higher level? And the incorrect action would be to somehow try to smuggle the dog into the hub without asking anybody?

Maybe Richmond moreso than other clubs encouraged their people in the hub to request anything they thought would keep them in a better state of mind whilst in the hub. Or maybe they didn't. But so what. None of that would amount to breaking any rules, or "bad behaviour." People, obviously including the CEO, turning that into salacious gossip is the only bad behaviour in any of this. I mean you can just see it now. The clubs would have been given certain reassurances to help them to accept entering into the hubs. The AFL no doubt told them players can bring wives and kids etc etc, if anything is required to make them comfortable, we will have a dedicated team there to help with any requests, we will do all we can. Oh, but by the way, if you actually make any such requests, we will get our media shills to report it openly so your club is publicly disgraced without fair trial. We would of course get them to name you individually but that would run the risk of you suing, so we won't do that.

What a load of s**t that is and was. As for "the affair" it is legal behaviour taking place between consenting adults. It has nothing to do with anyone else. It would not have happened solely within the Richmond hub. In fact we know it did happen elsewhere.

All that has really happened here is there were certain Geelong-sympathetic people in high places in the AFL at the time, and they have tried all they could to undermine Richmond's dominance over the competition. This eventually became completely obvious with the last minute introduction of the stand rule, that Geelong alone were "trialling" for a whole pre-season before other clubs got any chance to adapt to it. It is completely obvious that it would not matter what Richmond or its people had done, there were forces within the AFL who were going to act against the club for having the temerity to repeatedly humiliate Geelong in finals, costing megalomaniac Chris Scott his "rightful" standing in the game.

Wake up and smell the sewer that is the AFL my friend.

Couldn’t agree more with you here MR. Why should the AFL have it in for us still? It was 4 years ago ffs, they need to get over it.

Gary Rohan at Geelong had an affair in the hub, why weren’t the Cats in the bad books too?

God I hope the AFL get into real bother over this drug thing. Nothing better than to see the whole boys club come crashing down.

So The AFL Old Boys Club and its minions can invent all sorts of fake injuries and pull players from games on that basis but sharing a failed drug test is suddenly personal medical information??
It’s to circumvent the asada testing , the CFL is corrupt to the core , what they need is for govt money to be pulled but we haven’t got a politician with a backbone

'm not reading all that. And i don't address your points because they are all crap and null & void as you are basing them on no facts VS my actual, very real - very direct from the source knowledge that I KNOW is true.

What i find perplexing is - you continue to go with your own rose coloured glass version of what happened VS what i actually know happened from the most reliable source there is.

The club didn't "encourage" request - the players acted like a bunch of needy flogs and were wasting peoples time when they were already working 18hours a day dealing with govts, councils, law enforcements to get the league set up in minimum time to make the game not lose a season of history and income. The club was not "encouraging" - the club was completely not managing their group and acting like total flogs. You don't treat the head brass of AFL house like that, especially in the middle of a crisis ffs

Note the OG article.... How the AFL "took note" of Melbourne's excellent behaviour in the hub. Take note they mention this while talking about how our behaviour was by far the worst.

You need to work out your story. You either believe the club has been victimised by AFL corruption over the past few years which resolves it from its poor results OR you believe there is no conspiracy and there is no excuses, the AFL has acted fair and just.

If they are not acting "just" - what is their motivation? why would they do that? The AFL in their right mind would not kill its integrity just because one team won 3/4 flags. Its a feat that has happened quite a few times before.

You need to accept the playing group acted like flo

essendon must be ******* seething, afl righteously condemning them with one hand and sweeping up other clubs illicit drug behaviours with the other.

Yeah & they said it all along. They said it & no one believed them because "**** essendon, haw haw haw"

Same shit they said when we went mental over arc-gate - they just go with the narrative they enjoy eatting chips to most

The AFL at some point realised that they control the narrative as AFL supporters by default are already divided, so they can conquer every individual at will and nothing will be said about it as "**** Essendon. **** Richmond. **** Carlton. etc etc etc "

The AFL Old Boys Club who are taking tax payer money LEGALLY is helping people who use ILLEGAL drugs hide their habit.
The AFL Old Boys Club who has and touts a drug policy to punish people for taking ILLEGAL drugs, actively helps drug takers avoid getting caught...your taxes at work!
The said ILLEGAL drug is defined by the anti doping authorities as performance enhancing.
So The AFL Old Boys Club is helping players hide the use of performance enhancing drugs.

It’s only a stimulant if found on game day though. The AFL are just testing players who admit to taking it and telling them not to play, under the leagues illicit drug policy. This isn’t anything like Essendon.
The problem with this is that it is not transparent, and it appears to be undocumented. What if people using this unreported testing were doing the wrong thing? Could people use this program to hide an actual performance enhancing drug program for example? Or masting the use of prohibited drugs to speed up recovery from injury. The afl needs to detail the checks and balances they have in place to stop abuse of this program. From the afl defence it seems that they have a blind trust that the clubs and doctors and players would do the right thing but as we saw with Essendon (an maybe a few other clubs) that some people within a club are willing to push the limits to win.

Melbourne were one of the teams implicated during the Essendon Saga by Stephen Dank.
From memory he had said he worked with Melbourne, Geelong, Hawthorns VFL team, Gold Coast prior to them joining the AFL, and he advised West Coast over the phone (west Coast didn't need a pharmacist though as their coach was one. He then went on to coach Essendon after everyone there was sacked)

His time at the Cats is the most sus of all. Their best 22 in their prime was basically all AA. Like when Jobe was superhuman for one season.

No wonder the RFC Premiership players after 4 hard years at the top...winning 3 out of 4 GFs...fell off a cliff with poor form and injuries...JR8 limping in his final years to kick goals. Grimes no form whatsoever. Prestia goneski. Astbury had enoughski.
Whereas the Scatters are still cruising along happily...even Porkins who had a severe back injury is still playing wellski...
Makes one think..

Meanwhile hard hitting industry investigative reporter and CFL shill Wok Fry Barrett responds to the issue and Melbourne's drug culture problems by writing a very damning piece on AFL.com.au

Only the piece is in praise of Melbourne FC and damning of none other than.....

Richmond FC over things that happened 4 years ago and the club was heavily punished for and had very little actual control over....meanwhile not a single word about the explosive claims the CFL is now facing. Just, whatever is wrong, or has been wrong, is Richmond's fault. And all that has been done wrong by other clubs and the CFL cheating, lying and covering up their wrongdoing is not wrong at all because they are stoically getting on with their cheating, lying and cover-ups.

With this article he is basically confirming the CFL has it in for Richmond and will punish and scapegoat the club in any way it possibly can.

Laughably corrupt and rotten putrid organisation. The place is bent around corners.
Imagine the mental gymnastics to find a way to blame Melbourne's toxic culture on Richmond?

In 2020 we:
-had two players that were adequately punished by the club for breaking the rules
-paid a hefty fine for Cotchin's wife leaving the hotel and didn't complain
-had players accused of racially motivated sexual assault of Mabior Chol (LOL????????????)

Suck my dick Barrett.

because theyve never had a dynasty
