Did we have to nominate a pick for a rookie upgrade? I thought it ended up just being the last pick you use?

Surely if we want to use 61 on a player we can then use 85 on baldwin?

Seems like Roberts is a big slider. The write-ups suggest he is star material. Obviously lacking something significant.

Speed the most obvious thing.

Think the Lions may well do well with Luke Lloyd. Was a bit under the radar this year due to injury. Very smart forward.

Being able to lock down smalls as well is good insurance on top of everything else.

We got 61 as part of Massimo's trade.

Obviously it went somewhere else as it seems it is now with the GC according to the official AFL draft tracker.

Yeh but you have to nominate which picks you are taking into draft. We only took in 9,31,35 as live picks that we wanted to use

You only take in picks for the list spots you have pre sure? We had 4 - 1 committed to Baldwin which isn’t a draft pick these days. So maybe it’s just the 3 spots for the 3 picks we had. 61 gets absorbed. So no idea what happens

Well we already decided if we want to use them or not, we’ve only got a few list spots anyway and can always trade back in late, if there is some we like who has slid

Ok that makes sense. Seems abit weird though but I guess stops you trading picks you were never going to use anyway.

Probably won’t matter if we want to use a 3rd one, clubs will start passing and the order will collapse in on itself in about 5 picks

I get athleticism concerns, but in the 5th round his strengths have to be worth a punt.
