Thanks for your advice mate, but i've already got Lade as well as Fraser - i've had em from the start. ;) :p

I was just asking as i am tempted to place Lade captain ahead of Cox.

Too big a risk to put Lade ahead of Cox. I could easily be wrong and Lade misfires.;)

Do people think Fixter to Massie is a purposeful (is the $40,000 worth it?). Fixter seems to have cemented his spot and i keep reading massie is in and out of the best 22. is this true?

Edit- the 40,000 will basically determine whether gram becomes either simon black or chad fletcher/daniel harris.

B Mcdonald is named for brisbane this week should i replace Skipper in my 22 with mcdonald or will he be dud last memory i have of mcdonald he was a fair ruck!
And most people i think have Hodge in defence i have im in centre does it really matter i know there r more options for centre but i have 80 average player by player and increasing bakline didnt wana disturb it

I'm not too sure, but seeing as though it is Beau's first game in over 3 years, Matthews will most likely ease him into the game over the four quarters and may get limited gametime as a result.

I would put Beau in if it was his 2nd match, but because it's his first and therefore holds potential for limited game time it is better to be safe and put in Skipper.

haselby for bruce and brennan for ben johnson, fair trade? or would u get another solid centre for cheaper? Also, is ben johnson worth the money?

out of bruce, jimmy bartel, west, brad johnson, mitchell and simpsons. who would you get?

also, what does brad johnson need to break-even? if expect it to be a fair way over 100

my trades this year have been pretty bad, due to injuries mostly.

getting haselby last week was terrible and i got rid of him this week:mad:

getting skipper last week was also quite a bad move, and to a lesser extent, getting gram for coughlan - however they are my cash cows.

also - merett to lloyd would of been nice, if lloyd hadn't got injured.

but hale to charman
roughead to swan
and hopefully
haselby to mitchell
mooney to lade

will be good

used two trades this week.
out brogan, hasleby

in black, blake

i could of got charman but decided blake is scoring pretty much the same, so thought i would save 20k

as for black, well its a risk, he's so cheap tho, couldn't overlook him!!

What are people's thoughts on Campbell Brown? Has had 2 very high scores so far and his price is good at approx 270k. Looking over his stats so far he seems to be getting a lot of marks, some tackles and some shots on goal.

Bit worried about him since he hasn't ever really come close to play a full season, also he's never averaged over 65 before. Any Hawthorn fans or close observers out there who can possibly argue why he could average 80+ this year?

I got on him, traded brennan for him. His value should rocket and if he keep playing this well i may keep him, however, cos he will go up i can always trade him for another quality back.

The fact he gets injured doesnt bother me too much, will just make it easy for me to trade him. Just hope he gets injured late in the 4th qtr. Still i would prefer him to play the whole season.

Hey guys I need some help. I want to trade Brogan, who should I get? I have 283,200 to spend on a ruck, although I don't intend to spend much of that. Should I just go for Wade Skipper, or someone more expensive?

im not keen on mcdonald, not a great dream team player, keating will be back in a few weeks, will be competition for spot behind charman, not certain he is worth a trade to get

What about Fabian De Luca? Anyone? I need a very cheap ruck option.

I would recommend Fraser very highly, although assuming you already have him, Brad Ottens is one player in particular to look out for. He only $259,400 and i think he could be a dark horse in the ruck division to reach higher scores now that he is solely handling the ruck dutires at Geelong. Although he still has a question mark over his ability, his last game score of 123 shows his ability to reach the 100 mark when playing well. He's one that is a gamble, but it may or may not pay off. It really depends if you are willing to take a risk.

Otherwise if you want a more secure option look at either Blake or Charman, although that won't leave you all that much cash to play with in the next round of trades.

But if you want a fringe type player as you had used for Brogan, then yes Skipper, Biglands and maybe Street are really your only options.

Cheers mate. Yeh I have Fraser, what a bargain he was. I’m very curious about Ottens, he definitely has the potential to score big and average more than anyone within his price range. However I don’t know how reliable he is, his fitness is a major concern. I could go for Skipper who should average around 60, which isn’t too bad especially for the price. So in your opinion who would you go for?

To help you choose which player you want to replace Brogan with, who are the other players you play in the ruck atm, including those on the bench. The player i'd choose depends on your ruck depth and quality scorers in that division.

Cox
Charman
Fraser
Brogan

Mitchell Clarke
Hamish McIntosh

Ok well it looks as though you have some good quality scorers in your ruck apart from Brogan who was pretty much a fringe player IMO.

How much are you willing to spend exactly and were you intending on upgrading your ruck division by replacing Brogan with a better scorer or one that is about the same?

Yeh I’m actually reasonably satisfied with my rucks, the top 3 will remain there for the entire season. Brogan was probably going to stay too, because there’s not much choice in the rucks, unless you want to spend big. I would have been content with him averaging 60 odd for the season.

I can spend $283,200. I'm not sure whether to just spend most of that on a Sandilands or Ottens, or just go for Skipper who is pretty puch exactly Brogans price or maybe go for Biglands who is $220 and will probably average 65-70.

Well that's fair enough. Well i think in the long run, if you intended on spending that money that is left over out of the trades this round to upgrade a player next round, then i'd choose Skipper. Biglands and Skipper are pretty much in the same league as each other scoring wise and i think that they are also in the class of Brogan in scoring an average of around 60 across the season, which you wanted. Also i think that Skipper will rise in price a little bit more. But it is really up to you. :D

Hope i helped! :thumbsu:
