Another question, should I trade Haddrill for Massie? Haddrill probably won't play much this year, at least in the next month. If I were to get Massie he could just sit on my bench making money. Thoughts?

I think that is a very valuable trade, as it not only gives you another option as a fill in player down back if someone gets injured, but also because he is going to rise in price considerably. Haddrill has a very long way to go before he breaks back into the Freo side, and may not get over his injuries in time to play at all this year.

I have Massie and have decided to play him for the first time this week ahead of Waters. So he has the potential to even play in the best 22 if he can keep the form he is in atm. :thumbsu:

Moreso having 18 trades left gives you the bargaining chip to use one on a player who may well come in handy later on in the year when players in your backline get dropped or if injuries hit.

It's the right time to bring in Chad Fletcher while he is reasonably cheap. He is brought it for Hasleby, who I only got for Gram last week. Rotten luck.

a little while longer. hell keep going down i should think. next week ill get him.

1754 last week ranked 869th overall. My friend got 1930...tho I picked the side for her and im never hearing end of it now lol.

Changes this week:

OUT: MAGUIRE
IN: MICHAEL JOHNSON

Michael Johnson average will drop, won't average 50 from now on IMO, if I had him now I would trade him in the next few rounds.

Hey guys -- long thread now lol.
I would like your opinions on my two trades this week as i am not overly confident in them now in reflection.
1. Pavlich Out, Jobe Watson In
2. Maguire Out, Ben Johnson In

Now i know Pavlich will end up getting much much better, back to his last year stats dreamteam wise but i really did need to bolster my backs a bit which is now looking much better.

So do you think that the trades were good, reasonable or plain bad?
Thanks for your opinions.

considering Mjohnson only needs 1 point for his price to go up i would keep him for a little bit longer. At least 2 weeks because he has a 91 in his rolling average this week and also a 71 next week both of which are well above his average required which is at 53.

yeh I know his price will go up, but he wont score as well, so your overall score will suffer if he is in your 22, would keep him for 2 more weeks max.

wtf, medhurst dropped. now i am definatley one man down with o'hailpan and gibson not playing and already used two neccessary trades. bloody jesus

in other news.... what does everyone think about mark coughlan?
he is down heaps on price but got back to form last week

With Lloyd and Perrie out indefinitely my DreamTeam changes almost made themselves this week....
Out: Lloyd and Perrie
In: Hall and Watson
I'm down to 13150th now, so guess it doesn't matter too much.

I'm 839th in SuperCoach though, so that's a bit more important.
I have a 2 week plan there - injuries permitting.....

This week
Massie for Bateman
Bruce for N Davis (injured)

Next week
Symes for Harding
Hodge for Mooney

That will capitalise on price rises for Massie and Symes, get rid of my 2 worst value players, bring in 2 gun players and, on season averages, increase my scoring potential by over 100 points per week.

I'm glad Bate is finally playing, had him in my team since the start, but due to round 1 teams coming in so late had no time to make a swap, hopefulle he can pick up some possies this weekend.

Game time will be the problem - he'll get plenty of it while he's on.
As a Melbourne supporter It's what he does with it when he gets it that worries me.

2 weeks ago I brought in Rowan Jones
($+80,900)

The guy is going to gun it this year. Averaging 110 he is flying. People will say he wont make it in the eagles team but clearly this is not the case.

He gets possessions, he is 27 so he is now experienced being a former vice captain and he does something special that coaches will never drop him for. A huge ammount of tackles.

Its probably abit late now to get him as his value has skyrocketed, a better investment would be Cameron Bruce but its probably too late for that now.

Spewing I never picked up Jobe!

Closely monitoring Greg Staffords progress this week, had a good score in his return due to goals..
