if mclean had a full pre season i would be all over him. Dunno how well he is travelling. SO i guess the 1st option with hodge. I think murphy will be great, very expensive for a 2nd year player, but could be well worth it.

Mclean has had a good pre-season. He got injured about 2 weeks ago so missed the practice matches but he has dropped about 5kg and is focussing on being able to 'gut run' meaning more dt points.

Also does anyone know whether Ellis is going to be getting games for Hawks? And what are your opinions regarding Armitage and L. Thomas. Who is the better option?

Ellis was among the best for the Hawks in one of the practice matches.

I had him last year and was so inconsistent and quite poor through out the year...Some of that was to do with his injury and Grant Thomas playing him when he shouldn't have.

I also did and i don't see how he was poor. 2 injuries he had to contend with throughout the year and he still averaged 90.

Plus, i'm sure you would've rather him play than not.

Murphy will average more but pendle is cheaper and will also do well. Depends if you want to conserve money or not.

Thoughts on Nathan Jones (melb)?

Very good player. In an under type midfielder who racks up the handballs ala Scott West. Has the ability to be one of the best players in the league one day but my only concern for him is that he goes missing some quarters.

Using very rough and conservative numbers, I should be aiming for a minimum of 1750 in round one. Could quite possibly break the 1900 mark with a bit of luck.

What do you think? I know my centers are a little weak... i need to do something about that. Who do you recommend getting rid of and who to replace with?

Rischitelli or Pendlebury? I was all set to pick Rischitelli, but then the NAB Cup GF has made me a little wary...
