Not sure if I'm just crazy, but... is anyone else thinking of getting Knights into their side after he's already risen in price?

He was the last person I traded out before lockout (stupid...) and I thought he had huge potential. He's obviously shown that, and is the number 1 ball magnet of this game. Yeah his price has already risen, but it will only rise more, and if ever there's a time to get him, it's surely now.

Currently my centres look like this:

Cross,
Judd,
Corey,
Black,
Fiora,
Rodan.

So it's a bit hard to find somewhere to fit him in. I don't want to trade out one of the top four, as that would seem to be moving backwards in the natural progression of the season, although I could see Knights averaging the same as, if not more than Black, but even then i dont know if its worth the trade.

Alternatively I could trade him for Fiora or Rodan, but both of those seem to have some further money to be made off them, and I don't know whether there's any point trading them for a player who is incredibly similar to them.

Another option I've thought of is upgrading a bench player to Knights and then benching Rodan until he reaches his max value and selling him off. But i'm already tight for trades, and am not sure whether that extra trade would be worth it in the end.

Is Knights even worth all this trouble? I mean, the kid is an absolute ball magnet yes, but will he continue to get the time on ground required? Can I even fit him into my midfield? Is it worth the required trade/s?

I'd really appreciate some advice.

i need help i need to get rid of graham polak but only have 12,000 to use any hints into how to get rid of him for a half decent player

Paul Wheatley (226k) will go up in price after a good game last weekend. But he won't score consistently over the season - he's quite likely to not even play regularly.

Roughead is a better option if you want a cheapie who can score 60 a week. Ignore his shocking form so far - the Hawks will give him a solid run, and he's shown he can kick goals.

But for in that price range, there isn't much on offer.

i agree that knights looks the goods....
i think the time to get him was probably last week when he was around $195k. not sure what he is now but it must be around 250k. i do however think he looks better than fiora - you would think once hayes and ball find their groove again you have to wonder if fiora will continue to rack up the possessions.

i'd be sticking with what you got since you missed the rock bottom price and go with a more proven gun midfielder in a week or 2.

Yeah, but Knights seems to actually have the potential to be a gun. There doesn't seem to be much point waiting a few rounds and paying an extra 100k for a player who will average the same. Yeah, i missed out on the 44k he's risen, but maybe i can still cut my losses?

Maybe I could do Fiora or Rodan for Knights, and that could be their final upgrade? I mean, the two I've got definitely need to be upgraded at some point in the season, and how often do you get to buy a player who looks set to average 80/90s at only 240k?

I mean, there have been players previously like watson and sherman who've started cheap, with no really great history, and finished as a consistent 80/90 pointer.

Or do you think that the safety of proven history is worth 100k+?

Definetely Knights over Rodan and Fiora IMO
Sherman is a good pick up at 300 but who's to say he wont score more low scores like he has started with? although i doubt he will
Watson was a very good DT'er last year
Would be a tough decision..
Either way Knights is a good pickup imo..

I've got a tough one this week
Trade the injured Brett Peake (lucky he got injured or he would of had a hefty drop) for Cross or Bartel.. maybe even Goodwin due to saving 60K.. but i don't think he will average as high as the other two.
Maybe even Swan.. Or Mitchell
Have to wight up alot of factors before fridays lockout!

Have a little bit of a problem. Have used 2 trades and I am trying to not use any more. But i have to do 1. Monfries OUT J Brown IN because i have 200 grand in the bank.

The only problem is I also want to trade Patfull( was an experiment because Bradshaw was out)

1.so i can use another trade and trade him out for an 82,000 make 80 grand and start davey on the ground

2.Continue playing Patfull and have 4 brissy players playing for me

3. Play Patfull on the Bench as a cashcow and start Davey

Leaning towards option 2 at the moment. Still a very tough decision

Yeah, I was just using Sherman and Watson as past examples of what Knights could do this year.

Mmm... I would maybe suggest going Goodwin out of those 3. Goodwin should definitely go back up in price, to around the same price as the other 2 (maybe a bit lower). But in any case, he can only go up and the others can only really go down. One of Cross or Bartel should eventually drop.

So who is going to be the better cash cow, Tomahawk or Nablett? if i knew Ablett was a cert to play i would go that way but he's a bit doubtful from what i'm hearing so i'm leaning towards the Hawk.

Who would be the best long term prospect to keep as a starter for the year out of Bock, Brennan and Franklin. One will be traded for J.Brown probably next round and another will follow in 3-4 weeks when my Ablett/Hawkins cash cow has kicked in. I'm leaning towards Keeping Bock, trade Brennan next week as his price is the least likely to keep going up and Franklin in 3 - 4.

Any thoughts?

Ahk true i just sorta skim read it before haha

Yeah, im pretty tempted to go Goodwin.. but my first thoughts were Bartel.. id hate to Go Goodwin and for Bartel to score a few big hundreds..
hmm
but i also think yeah.. Goodwin is an awesome player and has proven he is an awesome Dream Teamer.. but what if he doesnt get up to the standards he set last year
Cross and Bartel have already sorta made a statement that they most likely will
hmm:confused:

hmm im thinking of trading out black for someone like simon goodwin or lukey power who might go down in price....good idea?

and

i wanna fit jono brown into my forward line which consists of fevola, johnson, franklin, kosi, pav, g.ablett and okeefe....i dont know who to get rid of for him, maybe one of my cash cows but not really sure i even consiered fevola as he wont post consistant 100's...any thoughts?
