Can someone please tell me why i have McDougall...i cant work it out. Im sure there was a logical reason at the time.

Mcdougall for A.Edwards or T.Hawk?

Hawk is averaging higher but Edwards will get more time this year i think. I guess the real question is who is going to get to 200k+ the fastest so i can sell there ass's.

LOL:D

You bought him because
a) He's a tall forward something the dogs don't have, so you'd think he would play a lot.
b) He was pretty cheap
c) Because you were hypnotised by his girlie good looks.

(After last weeks effort against the Saints, i'd bet Doogs will be lining up on the ground for the dogs this week - might not be a complete right off just yet)

do players value change only their last three matches played

or

on a yearly average.

I don't really know of anyone who has the exact formula, but it involves their current price and there past 3 games. this isn't correct, but its a very rough indication

Ave of past 3 games - (Current price/3775) = Fluctuation in price that week.

Now thats not correct, but its close enough for me to know Hawkins is going up at least 25K if he only racks up 1pt on the weekend.

I've been listening to SEN for the past half hour or so and picked up the following:

- NG Brown is most likely to miss at least 2 more games (my opinion is if you have him get rid of him, to much cash sitting on the bench for 1/3 of the year)
- Luke Ball is highly unlikely to play this week, but has more scans later this week and will be assessed after those
- Jason Gram has pulled up with a sore leg and is highly doubtful to take on the Dons on Saturday
- Nick Stevens is expected to play this weekend after precautionary tests on his neck injury stemming from last year
- James Clement is unlikely to play this weekend after straining a calf in the warm-up to last week's clash with the Tigers
- Nathan Ablett has a back-related hamstring problem and is in doubt for this weekend
- Luke Hodge may have pulled up a little sore in the hamstring
- Travis Johnstone has been cleared of a hand fracture, but may be in doubt for this weekend
- Dean Cox copped a knock to the knee and may be in doubt again

As far as the tribunal is concerned:

- Des Headland will contest his 6 week charge for 2 seperate striking incidents
- Fraser Gherig has accepted his 1-match suspension
- Josh Carr will contest his 2-match ban for charging Daniel Chick
- Adam Selwood has been sent straight to the tribunal (do not collect $200) for allegedly making "remarks" about Des Headland's 6 y.o. daughter
- Danny Jacobs may be fined $3,200 for making contact with an umpire, but will not effect his dream team performance (unless he is down in the dumps this weekend after coughing up the dough)

Does anyone know the current state of Nigel Lappin, Andrew Embley and Brett Burton?

so it would be in my best interests to keep track on all my players last three games and try to assess whether they will rise or fall in value.

then try to assess whether their likely current form will continue..

then try and work out a profitable trade if I want better players.

dogs v tigers this week ( who knows... )

Well, sort of. I'm new to this as well. And i've been doing as much research as possibly over the last few months, but i still don't know the right fantasy plan. But to answer you question i would say don't follow the prices to much. For example, i have J.Bowden, now barring a massive week from him he'll drop in price again. But i still believe he'll average at least 80 for the season. So i'm not getting rid of him just because he'll drop in cash.

I don't have Hawkins, and i know he'll go up and up and up, and possibly finish mid 200K maybe even more. But i don't really want to waste a trade for him, but if you don't buy now you won't see him any where near this price ever again.

Money isn't everything, in fact it fails in comparison to consistent scores.

thats what I was thinking.

You rate on points scored and not on any money value your team is worth.

its best to consider players that rate ( esp tackle ) and not worry too much about the value.
