Chapman had scans today and on the Cats board, it seems 2 probably 3 weeks he'll be out for. Just traded him in last week and with 1 trade and only Stewart as a backup, really have a decision to make, whether to risk it or take the hit and hope Stewart can play 3 weeks straight.

Same deal for me (damn your seemingly good advice! ), but I have Valenti to back up. Will probably keep Chappy, Valenti looks to be good for 75 a week.

Really stuck on who to put as captain... Think I might stick with Bartel over Cox, Corey, Swan and Kornes. Should do well on the big stage.

Also, who to start out of Porplyzia or Valenti? If fully fit I'd got Porps... but he's playing Sydney, coming off an injury and probably won't play in the midfield. Then again, Valenti is a rookie, has had a few good games so might be due for a bag game... tough decision!!! Thoughts?

Couldn't complain with putting either player on the field really. 84 for Porps, and 83 for Valenti. I ended up putting Porps on the field, and had Valenti emergency who came in for Pavlich anyway.

I didn't watch the game, but it looks like Porps will get a fair bit of the ball up forward now with Burton out. How did he play? Would he be relying too much on his goals for points?

At this stage of the year there's not too much happening apart from the action up the top of the rankings, and there's a seperate thread for the Eliminator.

Most people are down to less than three or four trades, teams are pretty much set and big scores aren't really big scores like they were a few months ago.

It always gets a bit quiet later in the season, but with finals around the corner it should pick up a bit.

Bought Adam Cooney last week for Rhys Palmer (thinking Palmer was going to be an emergency).

As i saw it, it was my last upgrade...

however i watched Cooney against the Blues; i watched the whole game and he looked disinterested - do any doggies fans know if he is carrying anything and are any people who own him starting to think he is tapering off....

just really need him to average 100+ for the rest of the year.....

yeh people are depressed with DT or they have no trades so they can't go "Who should I get THIS WEEK!?" etc etc.

Capt Choices are also a bit dry this week, and still lots of big outs depressing me too LOL.

Was just checking out the most improved section of the DT website and noticed that Chris Knights is on an absolute tear. Last 6 games he is averaging 110, and 120 over his last three. Who else has been that hot lately? Riewoldt would go close, not sure if many others would.

Past 5 to 6 games, Cox, Riewoldt, Corey and Bartel spring to mind all would be averaging around 120 for the past 5 games. There are a few other like Stanton, Bruce etc that have had their great game also.

At a price of just over 300k six weeks ago, he's certainly been good value

Also interesting to note that many of the top priced centres at them moment are relatively unique.

Stanton, Enright, Bruce, Knights, Edwards, Kirk and Embley have all have scored well over the past 3-4 weeks.
