In the rugby game, it would also be relative to position. That is, a full back shouldn't have the objective "kick a banana goal". However, reading through that list, I'm not sure what objectives you'd give to defensive players. There doesn't seem to be an objective for number of spoils per game.
Any of the marks and metres gained might be it

I would love to see them copy 2k and keep your players stats on screen in the corner in pro mode and hopefully they have some kind of decent system to tell us where we did good and where we need to improve, otherwise if you get dropped to the vfl you'd have no idea what they want other than "play better"

You can't get dropped in career mode. Somebody posted a conversation with the facebook page a while ago confirming that. Bit of a shame

Thought someone posted a conversation saying that if you play for an interstate team and get dropped you play VFL?

I think at this point I've just removed AFL live 2 from my thinking when I'm trying to work out how Evolution is going to turn out.

It was a quick money grab and more or less a crappy port of a crappy game on a crappy system.

Granted we've seen no gameplay but what we have seen is Rugby challenge 3. And it's a major step up in quality compared to anything WW had done previously.

It was fairly well received critically and by Rugby fans.
That's not going to guarantee Evo will be great (or even good)but it suggests that it should be that far removed from AFL live 2 that comparisons are pretty much null and void.

Actually I think that's true so disregard.

I'm not 100%, but I'm pretty sure that's wrong. I remember seeing someone's FB convo with WW saying you get dropped to VFL regardless of which AFL club you play for (which makes sense as there's no WAFL, SANFL or NEAFL in the game).

Bradman Cricket 17.

It was a blessing in disguise for those that missed out though.
Remember my absolutely angry review on PlanetCricket with the "you touched shit" meme? Good times. Got deleted within 10 minutes btw.

That could be at the end of season, not during.

The response I got was that virtually all teams stay the same throughout a season with the exception of injury and suspension. Players don't get dropped until end of year where they can be delisted or traded.

In a career mode it sounds like you will only miss games if you are injured or suspended and if you have a poor season you will get offered a VFL contract not an AFL contract.

I'm okay with that but hopefully VFL and TAC lists can be updated so we have proper players to draft

I think it's pretty clear you only get dropped for bad form at the end of a season.
It would make more sense for the club to seek to trade or delist you. If it's the latter, you would seek out an AFL club to pick you up via the draft (provided there's no FA), and if no one wanted you, you'd go back to a state league (VFL) to try to prove yourself.

A club that you're signed with dropping you to their VFL side for a year with no chance of returning to the seniors is pretty preposterous.

I'm going by what they said in that message.
