Not sure why they'd show some of that footage. Even if it was because of stat manipulation or something like that it just raises questions. Wonder if Wicked Witch had any say in what should have been released? Overall definitely doesn't look as good as the GWS vid indicated :(

Seriously, not a great way to promote the first few glimpses of gameplay footage by letting non-gamers or amateurs play on the lowest difficulty. Surely getting some experienced devs who've worked on the game playing on a harder difficulty would show off the game in a much better light?

I assumed both vids would have been edited by WW, given they're essentially commercials for the game. Seems they were better at selectively editing down the clips in the GWS clip than the NM one.

The idea to first show that Preuss was the lowest rated player in the side, and then show him streaming down the wing against Freo, is a sort of bizarre decision, though.

Look at the blokes developing the game , the top dog looks like Allan from the hangover
 
The fact that this vid was chalk n cheese from the GWS vid suggests that there was a combination of things going on here.
Easy difficulty, clearly useless North players.

No need to throw the baby out with the bath water just yet
 
Regarding eventually when this comes to steam, how do TruBlu announce it? Do they just release it and announce it on the same day or do they announce it prior?

I'm sure they'll release it without telling anyone. By that point, I'm sure the reaction will have been so negative that they won't bother marketing or engaging with consumers anymore. They'll scrape together whatever money they could manage from this and skulk away into the night, to return in another few years to get people's hopes up.
 
Why would Tru Blu allow this to be released?

The GWS vid was actually getting a fair amount of praise everywhere. This will get panned. Silly publishers.

Well, technically it's still "playable". Now "enjoyable" could be another thing altogether. I think some things look alarming, but I also do think this is being played on the easiest difficulty by bad gamers, so it's not a great indication.
 
That Preuss video got me interested. Firstly, it did seem like he was playing on easy. Secondly he seemed slower and his chaser was Sandilands. I was wtahcing the Freo defenders stick really close to their men, which is interesting. But watch the perfect timing Dawson has to come off his man for the tackle.

And look at the realistic light/shade at the dome.

Any insight from DrZaius would be nice as he said he was there when nth players got to test drive it? Bet it was on easy settings and with all playing on the same team maybe what made the footage less appealing than the GWS vid.
If they are playing against Denmark as a choice because it may be their only chance to get a win on the board this year.
 
Not as polished as the GWS clip, but it's obvious the North boys were taking the piss and having a bit more fun with it, Jy Simpkin running in front of the goal kicker for example.

It's also obvious that the game must have been on easy, so I'm not concerned with the Preuss run down the wing. Still looks a shit load better than what I was originally anticipating.

We need solid game play footage from experienced WW players now.. get on in WW/TruBlu!
