AFL Finals Dream Team 2007

I've chosen Motlop right now. But might change to Edwards.
What is Port's defence like?

small forwards have hurt us all year.

K just picked my team very rough atm

Rucks
MacIntosh
Lade

Is McIntosh really a lock against Lade and Brogan with a week's rest under their belt? I'm thinking Lade and Ottens.

They should do a weekly team for every round next year, as well as dream team still. Im liking this finals dream team!

This is my first go for this week:

Reasonably happy with it. Might be trading Swan out for Pendlebury if it looks like Ling will tag him. Unsure on Simpson too. I wish the Kangas had some better DT players...

Pretty good. I had all those Cat players except S.Johnson, for which I have Scarlett instead, he tends to give Rocca a bath.

hmm it's going to be tough this week - many things to ponder:

Backs:
- Clement hit back with a big week, and H Shaw has been average for weeks now. Will the trend continue?
- Milburn, Scarlett or Mackie in defence?
- Was Jess Smith's big game a one-off?
- C Cornes as captain? Had an average one last game.

Mids:
- Surely Ling will impact Swan's game - Pendlebury instead? He's consistent but never super high scoring.
- K Cornes would have to be a lock, but who else from Port? Pearce?
- Corey to bounce back this week?
- Give Harvey another chance? Not too keen on Simpson

Rucks:
- McIntosh surely a lock
- Ottens or Lade? Going with Lade would free up a more valuable Geelong forward/mid

Forwards:
- Load with Collingwood players again?
- Ablett/Chapman lock ins
- Motlop/Ebert not high/consistent enough scorers
- Aaron Edwards in form, but can he keep it up?
- Scarlett usually runs off Rocca and dominates.
- 1 rule in dream team is... To never pick the teams best player when playing Geelong, due to the fanta factor.
- Corey should be sweet to go this week as Collingwood don't have any standout taggers, and Gablett would be the major focus.
- Kane Cornes will probably get Harvey instead of Simpson, so that should answer your question.

Yeah Scarlett is worth a look this week, but who to take in the forward line for Johnson? There arent a whole lot of options from the Kangas (short of Edwards) and I dont rate Collingwoods chances against the Cats. The ball wont be in their forward line enough for them to get big scores.

Cloke did awesome against Geelong last time they played and Egan isn't playing, so I would go Cloke for probably S.Johnson. Did ya wanna give me some tips on Hawthorn players. ;)

Cloke is already in my team mate.

Nice try with the Hawks jab. Not going to bite... ;)

Thats bullshit, why would you have to win a weekly? Just come within top 10 each time and thats a very good chance.

Something i dont get though
Rank 1797 Round 1
Rank 683 Weekly Round 2
Rank 352 Overall Round 2

How is that possible?

Btw currently ranked 3rd in league of 50. :D

Any1 in top 500 can win it potentially i think.

Obviously alot of people that were above you after week 1, did a good deal worse than you week2...

Yeah, I'd even push that to top 1000 or so. Big room for improvement with multipliers.

Harvey or Corey?

Harvey will get Kane's tag unless he pushes forward then I don't think Kane will follow him if that helps at all.

Depends if your looking at

Harvey and Ottens

or

Corey and McIntosh

I'd be inclined to go for Harvey and Ottens.

If it's purely Harvey or Corey, Corey will be the much safer bet this week.
