AFL Live 2

The graphics look better and I like the controller mapping option, hopefully you can make it exactly like AFL Live 1 so switching between the 2 isn't so frustrating. They haven't mentioned any game play improvements though so I don't think I'll bother.

more content for a crap game is sadly still a crap game. Please god let Big ant have another crack.
I never played this game so maybe I'm not very qualified, but this just seems like a panic expansion because their "widely popular AFLLive 2." (a game that you can't even find a copy of in JB Hi Fi) didn't sell at all, so they need to make a rush job expansion and make some extra dollars.

The only thing good about this game are the stadiums, which are actually very well constructed and done to detail. The rest is poor and I'm glad I handed it back after a few days. What's a shame is that I gave it such a big chance and stuck up for it in this thread too.

they should change the clock from 2:30 to 20:00 so it looks more realistic like AFL Live 1.

Agree. One problem with AFLL1 though was people running down the clock needed to slow to normal time on kick outs and ball ups to stop people deliberately running down the clock.

To be fair to them this expansion was always planned and they've been advertising it since release. I'm not expecting there to be anywhere near enough gameplay improvements to make it worth the price of game + DLC and it seems like a pretty shite way to develop a game, release a half finished game (again to be fair for the price of half a game) with the promise of another other half later on.

But yeah the one thing I'll give them is that the DLC isn't an afterthought.... it's just that it's possibly polishing a turd.

Hello everyone!

First of all, thank you for your support and comments regarding AFL Live 2, they have managed to keep us pretty busy working on both the patch and 2014 DLC. We would like to announce that we will be holding some closed beta events here at our studio in Bayswater, and would like to invite you to be a part of it! There will be limited space and times available, so if you are interested in having a look, talking with some of the team, and providing your valuable feedback, we would like to hear from you!
Please email us at: info@wicked-witch.com.au

I was about to wonder why they were thanking us for support when the feedback has been mainly negative, then I realised they've copied the same thing everywhere.

They seem to be treating this as a new game, maybe they are updating it enough to completely change it and make it worth playing?

Came here hoping to find news about a roster update so good to hear one is coming! Doesn't feel right using guys like Dal and Milne now, I need updated rosters! :D It's not a great game but it's still good fun playing with mates once you get used to it. Handballing is a deadset disgrace (unless I'm doing something wrong?) but I've worked out how to kick which makes it at least playable.

from what guys have said who went to the testings..the game is sooooo much better and they have also given us the choice of to use live 1 or live 2 controls.
Any details about what makes it better?

There's an admission of 'ours were crap!' if I've ever seen one..

I found AFL 2s better. AFL 1 was direct opposite to controls I use for Fifa, so I'd end up making a mess of my first couple matches as I readjusted to controls.
Controls though are personal preference; which is why it's always best to give players an option if possible.

Is there any chance of fixing the camera? Surely we can get a camera that follows behind the players, it would be nice to be able to see my options up the field instead of having to constantly guess.

Isnt that what the radar is for?

Even if the patch is an excellent update I can't see myself splashing much on it. If it's around the $10 mark I'll have a go though, why not.

In all honesty, I don't mind the game at all. Everyone loves to hate on it but I'd rather have a game like this than no game at all. I've played it a fair bit and found there are some basic improvements that could be done to make it better. EA are never going to make an AFL game so I'm happy that there's a company committed to at least having a go at creating a game. I'll buy the DLC and see if they've improved the game when it comes out. I sent a list of possible basic fixes to the creators so it would be good if they touched on a few.
