So its just a few players running around the park having a kick?

Awesome!

Is it a seperate mode, or a fifa style load screen?
Training is a seperate mode.

You may be right on the first part of your post.;) Which is 1 part of training I will say.

The 2003 - 2007 series was good to play, however the real bad egg in the bunch was Premiership 2005. That was the worst AFL game i had ever played :p.

Damn, that's the only one of that series that I actually have.
Although I do own the Kevin Sheedy Coach one but when I got it my computer wasn't good enough to run it properly and I was shattered that all you could actually do is coach (even though the title gave that away).

I still have the PC version of 99 but I can't play the software version and the hardware version doesn't work very well with my controller.

I downloaded a rom of the NES version after hearing people hear talk about their fond memories with it but as expected you can only love a game like that if you grew up with it and feel nostalgia towards it.

It's not going to take anything spectacular for AFL Live to be the best AFL game for me. In fact, I already think of it as the best AFL game.

While I appreciate the information we've received (and am guilty of following all these threads from the beginning), I have one (potentially rhetorical) question:

Doesn't anybody want to be surprised by this game? ;)

Aside from the gameplay aspect (which has been well covered, thanks to Ross and the BFers who have seen the game - much appreciated), I've realised I don't really want to know every tiny detail. I'm coming to the realisation as the date draws closer that I want to insert the disc into my PS3 and discover the game for myself - the music, the training, the menus, everything.

But I've noticed that many others seem to be the opposite: as the release approaches, some posters are on the edge of their seat waiting for every scrap of information. Not that there's anything wrong with that, we're all different folks.

More of an observation/reflection than anything else. And no doubt I'll still keep reading. Go figure. :p Anyway, carry on. :thumbsu:

Oh don't worry. There is PLENTY we haven't told you about (although I know completely what you mean).

Yeah they all were very bad.

The one i played the most was the one with 'star players', and you accumulated xp points to up their levels. Think it was 06.

It won't be on foxtel, the only ads ever on foxtel are those horrible 5 minute long life insurance ads that they show multiple time in one ad break!

OFF TOPIC: I hate those ads, you pay so much a month for austar/foxtel and they still have more ads than free to air tv, as i type there is an ad for pet insurance playing.

Back on topic,
I don't watch free to air unless the eagles are on it, (which in hobart isn't to often), so i hope the ad is on austar/foxtel.

just pre-ordered my copy of this at JB when i went to pick up my copy of kz3 collectors ed

was on my way out when i saw a promo box so i turned straight around and put down the money woooooooooooo

Hoping to see a sneak peak of Seamus McNamara or Majak Daw in the trailer but hey ill be happy with anything Collingwood-as-Premiers related!!

Majak will be on the cover of the next title.

just realized this most people wont care but we haven't seen a wii screen shot any chance of showing us Ross

Oh snap!

Does anyone have any idea about how long the ad will go for? Will it be one of those really short ones or a nice long one?
It's not a 'real short' trailor. Though I'm sure it could be condensed into a little snippet trailer by TV stations if they wish.

Won't say any more than that for fear of Ross ;)

Why would Ross be releasing a screenshot of a game his company hasn't even developed?

A question for those who saw the game, in previous games it use to give me the shits how every second kick you would go for would be smoothered even if you were metres in the clear before you attempted to kick (i'm sure you all know what i'm talking about), without giving too much away, do you feel Big Ant's version will not allow me to be as frastruted with this part of the game play?

Normal ads make 2 versions, 1 long and 1 short. They will make the long 1 which usually plays for a couple of weeks before putting the shortened version on for the rest of the time the ad plays.

The short version is usually just a more edited version of the long one.

I know exactly what you're talking about mate, but the good news is you won't have to worry about that at all :)
