On tru blue facebook page

Is that correct?, pretty lame if tru
I think someone might of misread the information ? i hope so anyway. I'm sure Ross has said there is a continuous career it just doesn't have a draft and trades and things ? something along those lines..
It is VERY poorly worded from Tru Blu and they have really made a big mistake by not clarifying.

They're talking 'Franchise mode' ie Trading/Drafting in season mode.

There is still a season mode in the game, guaranteed. They just completely ****ed up the wording.

Oh. *sigh of relief*

So then, will players stats rise as they progress though one or many seasons? Say a rookies starting overall is 60, then he has an exception season. By the start of the next season will his stats have risen?

I should probably be asking Ross but w/e. he'll read it anyways. :p

(And this all assuming that players have a stat system similar to FIFA, etc)

EDIT: Oh wait, I think I just answered it myself. We'll be able to edit players ourselves during the season won't we. So I could just take someone like Majak Daw and after a breakout season I could up his stats myself.

This is a statement from Ross quite early on about stats through season mode "Players do get older and there is progression (or regression depending on how they've done) between seasons."

"Player stats will be editable, their likenesses will not."

You can edit the attributes and stuff though. Again that will have to stay within the $10 million budget though.

Overall the attribute system is VERY deep, again very FIFA like. There's a lot of really cool stuff that I didn't even expect to see in there.

1100 More likes on the Facebook page till we get the Create a player trailer!

everyone who has facebook 'like' the Tru Blu Entertainment page the quicker they get to 2000 likes the quicker we get the Create-a-Player trailer

How about you make a new thread with a public poll with the question "Would you like to enter to win a copy of AFL Live?"

Get a list of BF posters who voted "yes" and number them 1 to whatever and draw a random number (like your Facebook/Twitter comp)

We can be more creative then that. Make you guys work for your prize :)

Yeah well said.

It's something that overall has been explained fairly poorly...with all due respect.

I have a great idea. This is how it works:

Bigant sends us all a copy of the game. We then use the player creator to make a face that most resembles that of Ross. We all post our submissions. The winner gets a copy of the.....err.....game.

(Guys Ross will be so jet lagged he will not see through this flawless plan :))

How about whoever comes up with the most creative or original slogan for bigant studios.

Like how ea sports has " it's in the game".

I think whoever comes up with the most creative or original slogan would be a deserving winner and Ross also gets a slogan out of it.

It's a win win situation.

oK so EA has 'Its in the game' so Bigant could have:

BIGANT STUDIOS
'Socks down aren't in the game'

Sigh, I'm off to bed.

Lol, my respect for Tru Blu has gone down a bit because of that. I thought the first 'like counter' was just a cheap ploy at publicity, but now they're taking it even further. What's next? The game will be released once their Facebook page has X amount of likes?

Sucks that they are only going to release a short clip of the 'create a player' thing. I seriously couldn't give a stuff as I'll probably never use it.

A 30 second clip showing some of the gameplay will do wonders for people like me who have been brain damaged by IR Gurus.

If it's quick and fluent, I'm sold. Just need to see it.

It's definitely a bit rich to be asking for 2000 likes, especially in the jump from 500 to that. Most likely what happened was they saw how quickly 500 was reached (it took what 4 hours at worst?) and figured that everyone would do the same sort of branching out/advertising as before. The problem is that the incentive isn't as huge this time, so it's really a lax endeavor from only the real dedicated lot now.

Really what they could've done was just say every 500 likes we'll give something new, so you're not out and out looking like a popularity contest and you're still rewarding people for getting the word out and getting the likes to the page.

Another thing they've stuffed up besides the wording of the 'career mode' post...this one in particular has REALLY screwed the pooch because so many don't realise that there's still a season mode.

JB Hi Fi will deliver to the UK, I've ordered CDs from them in the past. I looked the other day and it quoted about 9 aussie dollars for carriage to the UK. EB Games and Game don't deliver outside Australia. So i'll be preordering from JB as soon as the date is released :)

That's who my Brother has pre-ordered them from. Still saying 6 weeks though! I might physically burst by then, especially if the Aussies are saying the game is good.
