They also had players running through banners that seemed like they were made of balsa wood with "Go Team" written on them.

NBA 2k11 has the coolest intros of all sports games. You see players coming off the bus in their suit and in the locker room and all kids of awesome things. Even then, you still skip them most of the time so you can get straight to the action.

Great point :thumbsu::thumbsu: I mean why would you compromise the excellence of game play by making the cut scenes and other irrelevant features looks better

Agreed. The only reason to have them is to sell the game - once you have it you'll never look at the intros again :)

Now if we were to do it and have at least some comical things written on the banner, which I am sure you all could help with, then it might be worth it....

Carlton vs. Sydney.

Your Goodes is good but our Betts is better.

;)

Sounds like a challenge......:thumbsu:

I understood that he said that commentators wouldn't want to do 10 lines per player, but the way it was suggested it be done would actually take even more than that, ie in excess of 10 lines per player when you take into account all the combinations and permutations.

Actually, I probably didn't fully explain what I meant. I actually don't think you should have commentary specific to each player (I know real life calls do, but its pretty hard to replicate).

Maybe have a few specific player mentions, perhaps the top 5 or 10 players from each team. But fill it with generic lines of commentary. "Magnificent spoil, he's playing a blinder... what a mark, this kid is a superstar" type lines. There is absolutely no need to have EVERY player covered. FIFA does this rather well.

Also, you could have a Robert Walls/Malcolm Blight banter on and on when games aren't tight and just ignore the play. :p It would be quite humourous. :D

I'm sure you could get mics hooked up that record specific commentators on game day and use sound mixing to rip out their voice from any background noise.

Just my thoughts, anyway. I'll leave it in your good hands. :thumbsu:

Hopefully all the ideas being suggested on these forums
eg Franchise mode etc will be taken in consideration for the sequel, but people need to realize that minor issues should be ignored as this game was built from scratch.
...What?

I'm not sure all of our suggestions would be G rated.

Vs. St. Kilda in finals.

To the Grand Final we come,
We'll do it with a bang,
The Saints' campaign will be shorter,
Than Nick Dal Santo's wang.

i dunno if this has been asked or not. But is there going to be a game play thing in qld like there has been in vic and is going to be in nsw. As i said dont kno if it has been asked dont wanna get my head ripped off. some people in here dont like if questions have been repeated.

BTW game looks great cant wait for jolly to tap to pendles of the right shoulder stream through the guts hit dawes and beammmmmmsssssss rove for the goal.......

Carn da pie

I don't know for sure but they wouldn't be the 2008 teams. Those are seriously outdated.

I'm not sure about putting the rep sides in the league. I do know that you can turn NAB cup rules on though.

Can we put Victoria and the All Stars in the NAB Cup? What about the season proper?

Also, what are the Vic and All Stars teams based on? Are they like the 2008 teams or did Big Ant just select the best Victorian players then the All Stars themselves?

I actually want to know this as well, because when I used the Dream Team I noticed LeCras and Didak in the squad and the last time the match actually happened (2009) neither were selected to represent their state.

Ross, care to clarify?

I think I remember on one of the videos Ross saying that the AFL provided the teams. I could be wrong though.

and the 16th team, without Fev on board, is Bribane.... sad for Qld :(

Surprised at no Acorn (Aaron Cornelius) in Brisbane's starting 22. You'd think he'd be in front of Patrick Karnezis who hasn't played a senior game yet.

Didn't you say earlier Ross that AFL clubs had input on the starting 22? Seems like a bit of a Crazy Vossy effect. :D
