Wow I really suck 1st game Geelong vs gold coast and got smashed,12.12.84 to 1.5.11 . Wind was blowing at 24kms and it was really hard to kick goals. Then played bulldogs v Geelong at the done with no wind and still got smashed 18.10.118 to 2.5.17
Might be a while till I'm online lol,
The game is really fun to play when you get it right,
Riscatelli took a screamer over his own teammate gaz jnr which was cool too see.can't wait till i get a bit better so I can start my season.
Easily the best playing afl game since Nes, it acually reminds me alot of afl 99 in the way it plays which is fun.
Great job big ant!! Certainly just as good if not better than my expectations. Well done
 
WHOA! Just had a MASSIVE nail biter of a game online! I was Collingwood vs Carlton and at 3qtr time he was up 49-30. I kicked about 4 in a row to bring it to 54-50 and then he kicked 2 in a row to make it 62-60. Then, LEON DAVIS MAGIC, he scored an awesome snap goal after a deep drop by Dawes to make it 66-60 and the last 2 minutes were like watching the GF Draw from last year. Final score was 65-68 I JUST beat him man I am loving this game!

For those complaining about the amount of tackles, it gets easier when you become more strategic about it. I like how u have to hand ball chain and do short kicks up the wing at times to build up a play.

Overall I give the game 9/10 only reason its not 10 is cos needs more features for one and for two more songs.

i have played a couple of games now on 3 mins Quarters and first i played vic vs All stars on rookie it is so hard i lost 129 to 34 and chris judd played full forward bit weird. looking at the replays sometimes i might get tackled and try and kick a goal but instead of the players kicking the ball they hit it of there stomach i really such a lot and i don't like the camera angles i don't like to be a pain but i was really looking forward to the game but after i master the controls and win online i will be dominating.
 
Omg this is annoying people keep quiting the game online because im beating them.

First game i was playing as essendon vsing hawthorn was winning over 90 points the guy then quit.

second game i was playing as essendon the other guy as adelaide, I was up by 30 points in the first 10 minutes of the first quarter and he quit.

Can some one please give me a challenge and wont quit if they are losing

For anyone who's gotten all the way to the Grand Final in Season Mode, is the celebration any different to Custom Finals (with that Odd Gold Cup :p) or the Nab Cup celebrations?
 
Really enjoying the game so far. Few glitches by the sound of things but I find it fun which is the main thing. Had a great game online against the Cats, was down 5 with the ball in my pocket with about 2 seconds of real time left and threw the ball on the boot just as the siren went but it just missed. No problems online I am 3-1 with no quitters so far.

Also got a 3 bounce goal from 50 with Gram streaming out from the backline which I was suprised at as it is very rare to find that sort of space. One thing I was a little dissapointed with was that the computer did a number of stupid kicks in the backline on the 2nd lowest difficulty- a kick backwards with Kosi in front of the defender, switching across goal and missing the target and the worst one snapped a point for me after I kicked it out on the full in the pocket.

Wow, despite the commentary being terrible, a neat little thing just occurred. I started a season as the pies and as both Port and Collingwood ran out in round 1, Dennis proceeded to talk about the history between the two clubs, talked about controversies from previous matches and how the two clubs don't get along very well. Wasn't your generic "These teams have a strong rivalry".

Happened with Carlton vs. Richmond too. Gave some Grand Final history and stuff too. Was a nice touch.

I don't understand why people keep saying the ruck system is bad, i find it pretty realistic. Bigger ruckmen often get more hitouts but it also depends on the timing..
Also the marking isnt an issue either. If you're in the right position then its pretty simple.
This game is everything I was hoping it would be :thumbsu:

Just played an absolute EPIC of a match in Round 2 of my Season Mode with Freo. Difficulty : Professional
Quarter Lengths: 5 Minutes

Quarter 1

The game started off as expected I won the clearances and looked pretty good. But I couldn't kick straight, 3 of my first 5 behinds came from kicks hitting the post from Pavlich, Fyfe and Crowley. Then the onslaught from Geelong came, they piled on 4 quick goals in the final 8 minutes to lead by 19.

Quarter 2

An amazing quarter of footy. It started off just as it had ended, Geelong dominating me. I won all the clearances but couldn't hit my targets moving forward. Geelong would always cut back into the corridor and have free room to move inside their forward 50. They kicked a further 3.2 to my measly 1 behind to lead by 38 points with 8 minutes left in the term. Enter Nathan Fyfe, roved at the back of the pack and had a quick drop punt shot from 40 which just snuck in to give me a look in. I got the next clearance, straight down the throat of Pavlich. 30 out, dead infront - GOAL. 26 Points down now. Managed to get the footy back inside my forward 50 but couldn't breakthrough. After a series of stoppages, the footy found it's way into Mayne's lap who kicked a goal with 30 seconds left. After a quick clearance and clearing kick, Aaron Sandiland's ran forward to take a mark on the siren and kick a goal. Margin in the blink of an eye, cut back to 13 points. Amazing how momentum can work for you.

Quarter 3

A dead rubber of a quarter, barely any teams managed to do much. Sandiland's snapped a quick goal to open up the term. Before neither team could capitalize on their opportunities and the cats got one back right at the end of the quarter to bring the margin back out to 15.

Quarter 4

Possibly the most tense quarter I have ever played of AFL LIVE. Pavlich took a fantastic mark with 15 minutes to go to kick a much needed captains goal. For the next 5 minutes, I couldn't get it inside my 50. I managed to stop Geelong scoring, but it was just stoppage after stoppage, intense tackling. Before a quick clearance from Barlow found Pavlich on 50. Pav has Taylor breathing down his neck, surely he would take his set shot. Not Pav, plays on and just gets his kick away from 40 to get Freo within 3 points. 5 minute warning, Sandiland's earns a free kick for a push in the back 25 metres out, kicks the goal. Surely that is it, surely Fremantle have it here. After the bounce Geelong get a quick clearance and Varcoe marks and goals. The cats get the lead again. With 1.30 left on the clock the ball falls into Mayne's lap, who manages a low quick snap which skids through. Fremantle hit the front.

Siren sounds. Amazing game
