I can't see why a field view wont fit on any display. It's not like you have to have a field for each player, it all could be done on a single field.
Then maybe press X to swap with another player and O to tag your direct opponent, or is there something i am missin here.

^ This should never happen on the highest difficulty. I'm well and truly back on the "bump up the difficulty" bandwagon now. Still really enjoying the game though, no matter the scores.

I understand people have been able to win easily on Legend but if they don't make veteran harder too it will really suck for me. I can easily win on every difficulty besides Legend where I win or lose by narrow margins. If all the other difficulties remain the same while Legend gets harder I"ll have no difficulty where I can have an enjoyable match. :( I'm not sure if they are only updating Legend though, so who knows?

Yeah, it's only Legend difficulty that is getting an increase. Hopefully with a bit more time and practice, the new Legend difficulty will be just right for you as well mate :thumbsu:

I like it until you go to change a player. Hate how it switches into the "who you should choose" order. Especially for the guys who are rated poorly in positions they quite often play irl. Would be much better if it just selected the player, and left the screens and lists as they are and swapped with whoever you selected next.

Damn that sucks, I get really frustrated when I'm constantly out-marked in contests on Legend but hopefully I'll improve soon and be competitive even with the update.
 
I thought I saw this mentioned somewhere, but I haven't been able to find it through the search function, but Ross will it be possible to increase the difficulty level within a season that has already been started with the patch?

I want to do a 10 min qtr season with all the teams selected and I've played 7 of the Round 1 games on Professional (I was still struggling to win on Pro before I started it), but after the first 3 being competitive games with a loss, the last 4 were all blowouts on my part. If changing the difficulty in-season won't be possible after the patch I guess I will just restart the season on Legend and learn on the job.

Thanks, I really enjoy the game, well worth the wait, and I'm sure the upgrades in future versions will be great as it is a solid base!

Great news on increasing the Legend difficulty. With PSN being down I've managed to win the season on Legend/20 mins/extreme injuries and unlocked the "Legendary" trophy. Some games were won by over 30 goals, which is just ******ed considering it was on the highest difficulty.
Getting pretty bored now, hopefully PSN is up soon..

Yeah I get you. Keep in mind I was being a whiny bitch as I always am when I lose games haha. Seemed to be a one off, I've gotten better aswell.

Well I managed to get through the NAB Quarter Final last night with no crash so maybe it is just Richmond vs Geelong.

Beat Geelong by 101 pts on Legend as well... it was close early on, got out to a bit of a lead in the 2nd before they cut the lead to 11 pts. Then kicked the last 4 of the half and that was basically game over.

Makes for a bit of a boring game when the quarters are 20 mins long and the game is over as a contest for so long.

Was playing as Richmond last night against Carlton in round 1.
I was leading 2-4 to 1-2.
Marc Murphy kicked a running goal on the siren, but Carlton's score went straight from 8 to 20, rather than 14. Murphy was given an extra goal on the scoresheet too.
Does this happen regularly?

AFL Live is obviously nothing like the sport. There are too many tackles and not enough unreasonable suspensions. :thumbsdown:

lol my mate beat that sentry pun yesterday.

Just had my second game online, was the derby. I, of course, went freo. Eagles home game heres how it went:

Eagles Dockers
3.1.19 to 2.3.15
3.1.19 to 4.3.27
3.1.19 to 7.5.47
3.2.20 to 10.8.68

Great win in the end, very frustrating sort of game couldn't get a free kick to save my life. Mayne missed a lot of easy chances but Anthony got 3 with Barlow and Mundy being top possession getters. He had 1 more inside 50, but I killed him in the hitouts. He seemed quite experienced (did a lot of bumping than tackling) and I was really rusty as I don't play much these days but after the 1st quarter I got some of the skill back, killed him in the hitouts. Turned up the TV to hear the song though, was sweet.

Question - sorry if it's been asked/answered but I think I asked it a few times a while back but didn't get a response (could be because people simply didn't know yet).

With the legend/extreme/20 mins achievement - can you use a custom/edited team? I updated some freo players stats (both increased and decreased) and want to play a season with them but don't want to not do a whole season and not even get the achievement.

Just lost a match by 3 points. The other team had 2 players, and 5-6 times they had a guy stand in front of my set shot at goal and it would be smothered. Not happy.
 
Just had my first draw. Playing my season and it was top of the ladder Hawks, me, vs bottom of the ladder Gold Coast :eek:

I had about 6-7 more scoring shots though...

The patch will exclude the people going over the mark, very sad that people stoop to use it :(
 
Just finished my season undefeated on Professional. Buddy won the Brownlow with 50 votes, Sewell the runner up with 21. Buddy also won the Coleman with 113 goals.

Only team that came close to us was Melbourne who we drew with in Round 2.

Sitting at 56% trophy overall after being 36% this morning.

Still got the finals to go :thumbsu:
 
It's amazing how common people use the standing in the way of the kick technique. I normally just hit up the loose player then slot the goal from close range. If they do it again i generally revert to playing kick to kick with myself and just hold possession and work my way forward slowly.
