Wow. HBK and I just had one of the best matches I've ever had. Going into the match, I was 2-0 on him. Hawks (me) vs Richmond (HBK).

Early on my inaccuracy cost me badly and HBK capitalized to lead at the first change by a couple of goals.

Second quarter was a bit of a stale mate. Think I kicked 1 goal to HBK's 3 behinds or something. HBK leads at half time by a goal or two.

Third term is all HBK, piling on 3 goals (I think) to nothing. HBK leads by 4 or so goals.

Last quarter and I can't believe my luck. I nail 4-5 goals in quick succession by kicking it off the ground literally 2 cm from the goal line each time. Was simply amazing (and amazingly lucky). So I have the lead by 11 points with about 5 mins of game time remaining. Can't remember how, but HBK gets 2 goals in the next minute or 2, and now there's only a minute left. Ball up on HBK's forward flank, I win the tap down to my player, handball to a runner .....FINAL SIREN :eek::(

HBK wins by a point.

The awkward moment when you're playing co-op with your girlfriend and she marks 20m out on a slight angle with two players around her, only to play on and still manage to kick the goal. :eek:

I'm being out-cockied.
 
i dont get it i have people quit when they are say 2-3 goals down in the last but then when im beating someone by over 100 points they never quit, doesnt make sense.

It's because some people are genuinely interested in learning the game and getting experience that they don't even think to leave. Then there are the sookey w***ers that quite the moment they think they won't win because they are whiny bitches.

True story.

Here was a annoying thing last night.

I was playing as Victoria againist Indgenious All Stars as AI,

13mins into 1st quarter, ball up called for and game locked up!

Annoying as it was my first game that I was actually doing okay,:(

Anyone else had this happen during any game?

On another matter, guess everyone has their own preference, but I think I have worked out best camera view, end to end dynamic.

As one can see down ground ( yes I know radar is there but by time one looks at radar Ai can get ya) also ene to end dynmanic goes into close at times, which i like.

What Eddie said, also there are people that are a lot better than me. Even if I'm 10+ goals down at half time, I'm not going to quit.

I've never played online, but in the regular season I wont quit if im losing, and when I up the difficulty it is always harder when starting off. It's like any game, the more you do the better you get. People lack honour.
 
I have yet to play online, I've only quit one single player game, and that was my first game, and I did it to lower the default difficulty :eek:

I am getting better at it though, I play at Veteran now and usually win. Lost to Collingwood by 3 points the other day, and followed it up with a 100+ point thumping of Essendon (both games I was the Eagles, 5 minute quarters). Once I can regularly beat Collingwood I'll bump up the difficulty again. I still get smashed at contested marking situations, but from comments here I'm not the only one.

Quitting while online is poor form (unless their connection dropped out or they had to leave for some other reason).
 
So a guy I just played quit with 1:40 left. I still get the win yeah???
