Is that WatchAFL?You guys need to move out of Australia. The international version is excellent.
They've massively turned down the bit rate this year, it's a joke. Used to be OK to stream onto my TV, now I can barely watch it on my phone. Is that WatchAFL?
I'd cancel AFL live and get that instead... except apparently telstra dont do refunds.... asshats
Resolution was fine earlier in the preseason but its dogs bollocks now. Half the time i can barely make out the ball

Pm him.I can get mine to play through one of my TVs. It's a very specific set of circumstances though that not that many will have. Bit reluctant to post it on a forum or they might block this method too! Or is that paranoid?

Not paranoid at all. I would be certain that Telstra monitor this place. You would be surprised how far reaching this place is. Last year I innocently posted some trade news in the trade thread on the dogs forum that was mentioned to my brother from a club great. Lo and behold 2 days later I get a call from my brother demanding I take it down. Said club great not happy. Clearly people lurk around here.I can get mine to play through one of my TVs. I have the Live pass app as a Telstra customer. It’s fine for the phone or iPad. I can confirm the WatchAFL service is pretty cool. Overseas rellos have it, you can watch every game live, with pause and rewind, or watch them on demand, and all Fox footy shows live or on demand (360, Open Mike, On the Couch etc.). I think it’s $189 a year. I’ve never had Fox but it seems like it’s the Fox footy channel with all games. Does rely on having good internet speed to watch in good quality.
I don’t know all of the various AFL subscription models in Aus, but WatchAFL seems like a reasonably priced streamlined footy-only package, and perhaps something the AFL should consider doing in Aus in some form or another rather than having people finding their own creative ways to avoid paying for what seem like crap services here. Or services that are good, but are bundled with other stuff that we don’t want.
Perhaps I’m being naive, but if you price something reasonably, make it reliable and easy to use, remove unnecessary content or packaging with other sports/content that is seemingly there to justify higher prices, more people would subscribe to it legally.
Even the option of club-only packages - Geelong games only for example for cheaper.
Kayo is $25 per month and doesn't have a contract.
You pay for 7 months of the footy season and you're paying less than $189 a year.
Just signed up VPN for 3 year around 60 Aussie dollar and get long life telstra prepaid you end up paying less.I tried signing up for Kayo but if you live in NZ you have to have an Australian number and...Yeah, I cant be arsed dealing with setting one up when the AFL Live pass is $5 a week and working well enough.
