AFL Live PATCH - Download now

Just flipping through the bugs and reviews pages, and I imagine Ross or someone in the know would be able to comment on this- Is there a patch scheduled for the actual "release date"?

I know I've ended up with a few games a week or so before the street date, and it was buggy due to not having a patch readily available until the actual street date. I've usually had a patch to download on games purchased on the street date, even the first time I've tossed the disc in my PS3 or 360. Just wondering.

There will be a patch, I can't talk about the delivery date of it, but will here when I can.

They simply HAVE TO boost the sprint ability for the ball carrier. It would make the game so much more playable and closer to real life. So sick of taking possession at full speed and being tackled.

I think the game is a promising start but I can't fathom how this got out of QA without someone saying "hmm, do you think there is too many stoppages?"

Perhaps the stoppage-heavy game was a deliberate design decision. Stoppages allow the AI to reset itself. Perhaps they concentrated on getting stoppage AI right and want to hide AI deficiencies elsewhere.

This is pure conjecture though.

Yeah it annoying you have to link hand passes and break out wide to do that.Only a couple of marking glitches so far for me.Higher salary for created team is a must for me, otherwise you stuck with players at 175'000 or lower.I know you can break the salary cap, but they won't work in a season.

Online is where it's at. Surprised at how many people are even giving a toss about season mode right now.

Just wondering if Ross or some from BA can tell us what the patch is going to address in the gameplay/online aspects?

I'm really loving the game, getting used to shrugging tackles and getting a quick kick out of the centre bounces.

The main things i think that need to be also changed would be:
1. stats, during the games not just top 3
2. Line up to much easier to view and change before the game (ground view as stated above)
3. Auto switching players to be to actual places they play E.g jack riewoldt should not switch with angus graham in ruck!
4. online play
5. get more than 2 songs!
6. being able to use created players and custom teams in the proper afl season and not in custom seasons
7. a career mode not just a single season is a must for most people and for the game to get more followers
8. the way the ball bounces
9. turning circles of players is like the turning cirle of the titanic

other than that, i love it! Thanks Ross and the crew

Iv got vickery to do that, i think it only does it because jack is the tallest on the ground it that stage

Yep I have had Tom Williams and Lake in the ruck when the full time rucks sit on the bench.

Perhaps an option to have one ruck as a ruck/forward to rest him in the FP?

I don't have a problem with this. Good to get a game with a little bit of challenge to it. And I also see it as being realistic. How many times to we see ball ups and contested footy these days? The thing isn't quite right is a Kepler Bradley being able to chase down Cyril Rioli comfortably. Speed boost is fine though. When I chucked the disc in last night I was expecting a slow boost or no difference in speed at all, what I found was by using the boost, it did make a difference but just not make the player super human

I made the mistake of taking Leroy out of the Pies side for Neon (Gave me a bench of Krak, Macaffer, Toovey and Neon as the sub). Meant that when Jolly went to the bench, Trav Cloke went into the ruck. That was my mistake though.

I'm with HBK619, online is the way to go atm. Just played my 3rd ranked game and got my first quit though . I was smashing someone with Freo (he wouldn't budge on choosing someone other than Carlton) and after I got 7 goals up he bailed.

The worst part is though, when I go to Players Met on my PSN account, I can't see anyone from AFL Live! It's as if the game doesn't exist! I wanted to block him so I don't have to have him quit on me in the future.

Hopefully that will be fixed in the patch.

The only thing it is a challenge to is my wall. It's gonna have a hole in it soon.

The guys played many seasons and earned all the trophies but did simulate the season for some teams, which is the workaround. I played exhibition matches and was waiting for the release copy before going to seasons.

We have found the issue and it effects you if you are playing as the following teams/rounds in season mode.

Teams and rounds to simulate are:

round 6
Carlton
St.Kilda

round 16
North Melbourne
Western Bulldogs

round 19
West Coast Eagles

Please fix asap, eagles

Picked up a copy this afternoon. I have to say I'm rather disappointed. I haven't played a season yet but I'm assuming you cant even trade or draft players. Wouldn't advise people to buy it.
