AFL Live PC version, when? How 'bout NOW?!

Re: AFL Live PC version, when?

Haha, Steam backlogs are never got through. There's always another sale to add to them.

Re: AFL Live PC version, when?

With all the games out in the last 2 weeks I really don't see anyone buying this now for pc. Skyrim will consume me for the next month at least, not to mention battlefield 3, ac, saints row and the rest of my backlog on steam/origin.

Won't really make much of a difference with such a niche market as this.

I will buy it for PC as soon as it is released as long as it is priced appropriately considering the game has been out for so long on other platforms.

Very poor communication by TruBlu/BigAnt after the brilliant service displayed prior to the console release.

With the current climate in the Australian gaming scene I would have thought that they would make more of an effort to stay relevant.

Re: AFL Live PC version, when?

I sincerely doubt they are waiting for the draft. Why would they release the PC version with 2012 lists? It would surely be the same as the console version.

Either it has hit a delay or is not coming at all.

I think they might update the console versions too

Re: AFL Live PC version, when?

Regretfully we are still facing some delays with the release date of AFL Live on PC. We are working around the clock to try and get it out ASAP, so please be patient a little longer. We will keep you updated with our progress.

Re: AFL Live PC version, when?

They may as well just call it AFL Live 2015...as that's probably the year we might get it

Not buying it anymore. Was really looking forward to the game as well. But there is no way that I will pay around $70 for a game that should have been out months and months ago with the excuse of it helps combat piracy. If anything, it's quite the opposite. Though now all we will hear is how no one bought the PC version so there won't be another one.

Re: AFL Live PC version, when?

Tru Blu would have to be one of the most dumbest distributors in the industry. Who releases a game but restricts a platform to combat an issue that exists with its other platforms anyway? Why doesnt EA, 2K, Activision or other TOP NOTCH developers/distributors operate in this fashion? tru blu are totally full of s***! Its pretty clear that they wanted to maximise the $$$ profit as console games are generally more expensive then pc games. To make matters worse the falsely advertise its release within a time frame and then, 2 weeks after, apologise that they havent released it only to feed us more crap!
How hte hewll has this amateurish distributor get the contract for AFL? definately have branded themselves as backyarders in my mind!

Re: AFL Live PC version, when?

EA/2k dont release a lot of their titles on PC at all.

EA have FIFA and 2k have NBA, thats about it for PC. All other titles are console only.
And even then it's taken until now for EA to get FIFA up with the console version in terms of engine and features.

Re: AFL Live PC version, when?

yeah. but EA or 2K do not make promises and then break them.
What promises are being broken? The PC version will come out, just a matter of when.

I think you will find that the majority of EA and 2K games are all released on PC. In fact, the top selling games today (Battlefield, CODMW3, portal etc) are all pc games that have been released on consoles and evolved.

What promises are being broken? The PC version will come out, just a matter of when.

Do you think it would be ok if they released it for xbox but not ps3 and then told the ps3 users it would be released within a time frame and then fail to release it?

The whole idea of them releasing it more than 8 months later on one platform whilst releasing it on other platforms is a joke, let alone making public declarations of when it will be released after saying nothing for months then not releasing it is a terrible marketing move for a business regardless of the industry.

They can fix it all next year though if they release the pc version at the same time as the consoles in the next edition of the game but I doubt that they will.

Re: AFL Live PC version, when?

Also. Batman is delayed by a month on pc for what I'm assuming is the same reason. I'm in support of their decision to delay afl. It's a small market already without piracy.

Not much of a comparison, given this is a lot more than a month, and Batman does not have seasons...

Re: AFL Live PC version, when?

Developer brings PC version out nearly a year after console release, PC version doesn't sell because people can't be bothered with it anymore and it's outdated.

Developer: OH SALES FIGURES ON PC ARE LOW BECAUSE OF PIRACY. STUFF PC GAMERS, WE WON'T BE RELEASING IT ON THAT PLATFORM AGAIN.

Re: AFL Live PC version, when?

There is no 2011 pc version. there cant be, bringing it out next year will be ridiculous, and Ross you say people will be happy with the release announcement- Pie in the sky mate.

The chance for that has long gone. Unless there is some significant improvement on the many flaws in the console version, particularly online play, I cant see anyone really being happy.

I myself have lost a lot of interest because of the way the pc users have been treated.
